Hello Everyone!!

I'm Nicola or Alocin (backwards).

I'm 26 and married with a 9 month old daughter.

I found this forum when looking at 63336 on the green site. There was a girl talking about TMS so I came here yesterday and I love it. (Jon is lovely) :)

I have a small amount of debt so looking to earn a bit on the side to cover that and give me a bit more income when I go back to work part time (I'm on maternity leave)

xxx

Hi there! You're quite similar to me in that I'm 25 with an 8 month old daughter! :D
I think I saw in another thread that you're going back to work part time? I wish I could but unfortunately my old job doesn't pay enough to cover the cost of childcare so am starting my own business venture from home!

Everyone is lovely here and there are plenty of great ideas for earning - I've only been a member for angst over a week I think but it's been very worthwhile :D

Hi and welcome to The Money Shed

Do you have any idea how much you are looking to earn each month as that will give us a better idea of what to recommend might be good for you

No specific amount really, anything is better than nothing. Perhaps I should think of a target as it might help motivate me. Just looking at ways to make extra cash around what I do already and my family life.

Hi everybody! :)

Thought I'd better introduce myself - I'm Ross (probably guessed by the name!), I work full time but I try and earn a bit on the side through competitions and the odd little job here and there, but always looking for new and fun ways to earn a little extra! Also long term boyfriend of forum member Jadedwords who referred me :)

Happy earning everybody!

Ross

Hi All,

A little bit about me - I'm a 26 year old from Leeds. I ended up having to leave my last job as an accountant just before Xmas, after suffering a manic episode (I have Bipolar disorder). I'm hoping to find a way to make enough money to come off benefits - but since I struggle to leave my flat most days, I'm pretty limited in my job options at the moment! I'm considering applying for Leapforce/Lionbridge, but not sure if I'm quite ready to be doing an exam just yet - but like the idea of being able to fit work around my good and bad days.

I joined this site after stumbling across a link to it on the the green site site - finding it really informative so far, and also enjoying reading about other peoples successes in the diaries section!

Thanks.

Hi Rocket

Great to have you on the site!

Quite a few of us are from Yorkshire on here ;)

Have you ever earned online before? If so what experience have you got?

Do you know how much you are looking to earn each month at all as that will mean we can help you out a bit better.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask either here or on the Beginners Board section

Jon ;)

Hi,
I used to do surveys, swagbucks, music reviews etc while I was at university. Also somehow managed to get a t-shirt design printed by threadless - which was nice considering I neither remember designing it or uploading it onto the site!

Currently, I've been more focused on saving money when I have to spend it - so using topcashback and always checking for vouchers before buying anything.

Ideally I'm looking to earn around £500 per month, as this will cover the current income I have from ESA. I'd really like to start bringing some income in as soon as possible - this is why I like the idea of Leapforce, as it seems that so long as you are prepared to spend the time doing it, then you can earn a reasonably reliable income. Just a bit terrified of doing an exam - shouldn't really be letting it put me off, done plenty of exams at school, uni and professional ones already!

I think I would quite enjoy writing blogs, but see this as more of a longer term project to work on in addition to having another source of income - plus I have no clue about how you go about setting one up???

Cheers for the welcome,
Rocket

If you are after £500 A month then you are looking at lionbridge / leap force or 63336 which i personally do and earn £1000 a month from on top of a normal daytime job

I have tried lionbridge... Failed the THREE part exam

Thought about earning from YouTube? Check out skinnylatte's YouTube guide on here or her earning diary. She makes nearly £500 a month from that

I have put in an application for Leapforce - so hopefully that goes ok. Had a quick look at the 63336 site, but they didn't have any vacancies for in the UK at the moment - I will check back again later, as it looks like something I would quite enjoy - did have a bit of fun doing the free question. Shall head over and checkout SkinnyLattes diary about earning on Youtube. Cheers for the help.

Hi, my name is Ang. I stumbled across this site this afternoon. I have been earning online for a few years here and there. In the next few months I am planning on upping my game and branching out to new income streams. Call it a challenge to see if I can make something work for myself and the family.

I am no stranger to the world of blogging, and my first step is to push forward with a blog idea I have had for a little while. The domain and hosting has already been purchased so I don't want to waste a potential opportunity if I can make it work in some way.

Hello, I have been working online since 2006. I started off with things like quidco and surveys, then progressed into a bit of mystery shopping before writing.

Now I do purely web content, ebooks and other sorts of writing. Most of my experience is in legal, medical and home improvement content but I have written on everything under the sun. I still do a bit of restaurant mystery shopping but only do that because I get to go for lunch with friends and someone else pays, I stopped doing other mystery shops because the fees were too low to justify my time.

I work from home because I have three children and want to have the flexibility to be there for them after school, take them to clubs and activities, as well as having time to go to the gym a couple of times a week, go for coffees with friends etc.

Hi

I am Hannah and I live in the probably the most unfashionable home county. I have 2 kids (I would like more, but the husband said no; on-going marital battle, you understand).
I have a rescue Staffie called Jack.

I love this website.

I love working-online as I see it as a way forward & is relatively mobile. As travel, commuting and childcare is getting more and more expense I think the trend will only increase.

I do the usual surveys, but probably spend more on electricity than I make, but never mind.

My main sites are :
Shop & Scan
Consumer Pulse
Pinecone
Crowdology/Cint type ones
One Poll
Swag Bucks
Murfite et al

Plus Mystery shops.

I take in lodgers and over-seas students, The students are mainly in the school holidays/half term, the bookings are a bit hit and miss, but the lodgers area better success story.

I have signed up for focus groups, both on-line and in the London area.
