Bitch and moan all you like in here..

Things I failed to get into

Leapforce
Lionbridge
Take Note
Crowdflower English transcribe crowd sourcing work

I think I am good enough at English for 63336 and the like but obviously transcribe work just requires a whole level of skill that I don't have..

Leopforce/lionbridge required again a level of detail from their entrance exam that I just didn't have the skills to pay the bills for (literally!)

I didnt even attempt the 63336 exam as I was told it was very difficult and it looked it too!

Failed LF the first time, despite being a web search evaluator for over 6 years. I think it the kind of work you either get or you dont. The NDA doesnt help as us experienced raters cannot offer any advice to those taking exams for fear of losing our job!

I also quit TeleTech after 2 shifts. Could not hack the abuse from customers!

Do tell us more.....

I failed the Lionbridge exam too.

Worked for 63336 for about three years until I was terminated after a very peculiar review by a new senior researcher who had replaced my old one (who was also "let go".)

I failed to get into Appen. I didn't feel too confident whilst doing the test, then they told me I had got 49% and failed, which confirmed that it wasn't for me. :p

Was that the test to do web search evaluator work with them or is it the England language one to do the transcribe work for them?

Not in my case, my reviews were always excellent and after one bad one they canned me. This was a while back though and lots has changed since then presumably.

I suppose I am missing a big one I was dropped from. ( or rather they dropped everyone )

Worked for ChaCha in the UK and they pulled out of the UK market due to low uptake of their "only the cost of a regular text" text q&a service.

Went from being dependant on it to suddenly it was gone... Never again, leaned my lesson that NOTHNG is secure in the work from home market in terms of pay and the company still being around

It was the Web Search Evaluator test I failed. It was a while ago but I seem to remember thinking that there was no "right" answer as such, that it could be a few based on your opinion. I could be wrong but that was my feeling while I was doing the test.

That's probably where I went wrong, not enough preparation, I only studied the guidelines once. Still, I answered the test to the best of my ability and didn't pass. Oh well...

It happens, such is life, wouldn't worry about it. As you can see plenty of us have failed multiple tests and tasks.

Part of the learning experience as they say ;)

As I've posted before.
Had loads of ignores for things. I find that very rude. I am a little Victorian about manners sometimes.

Try and binned off crowdsourcing. However did give me loads of fuel for comic anecdotes.
Ad Assessor for Lionbridge - fail
63336 - fail

Still plodding on with the surveys.

I failed 63336, appen, leapforce, lionbridge, and pretty much everything else that's full time.

I never passed the application stage for any of them. :-[

Appen Web Search Screen Test ... Fail!

Just as Scratch said, it seemed open to opinion as to how relevant a page was. I've asked for more detailed feedback as I'm keen to improve, and also keen to get on the transcription work.

Still not a bad week after completing a Streetbees assignment, and being shortlisted for a law tutuor job that I'm keen on.

Second review coming up this month. Please can everyone keep their fingers and toes crossed! :-[

I very stupidly tried to work for Leapforce and Lionbridge at the same time and obviously someone (probably the client they share) found out so I lost both jobs. I originally applied for Lionbridge and failed so I applied to Leapforce, took that test and failed again, but Lionbridge offered me a second chance and a few days later Leapforce also offered me a second chance. I decided to try for both thinking that if I failed one I might have a chance with the other. I heard from Lionbridge that I had passed just a few hours after I had submitted the exam to leapforce. Then a few days later Leapforce said I had passed too! In a moment of madness I accepted both offers and worked for them for about a week. Then Leapforce told me I was terminated but didn't tell me why and would not respond to my email. Lionbridge didn't say anything (or repsond to my emails) for another month but there was never any work when I logged in. In fairness both companies paid me what I was owed though and it was my own stupid fault.

Let that be a lesson to you all ;) though I doubt any of you are as stupid as me!

I thought I'd tried and failed for Leapforce, as I hadn't heard anything in six weeks; however, yesterday, when I got home from work I found an email in my inbox saying they were interested and the next stage is the exam. I'm posting pre-emptively as I don't think I'll make it through, looking at the massive amount of guidelines you have to take into consideration! (I have some concentration problems...)

Fingers crossed for you. Mine was due last month and I haven't had it yet; every time I log on I keep thinking the big R is going to appear in the corner
