Anyone do it as a way of earning money?

I only do the Euro-millions these days as it's the only one I actually win on sometimes (though nothing big!)

Stopped doing Lotto in protest at them putting it up to £2. I had the same numbers twice a week since the very first night - so now I avoid EVER seeing the results in case my precious numbers come up! I randomly do a EuroMillions here and there, but the odds of winning are so absurd I can't see it being anything other than a flutter?

I used to do daily play when they had it regularly. I won £300 once and missed the £30,000 by one number (had a 14 instead of a 15).

Now I do nationals every now and then.

I only do the lottery when my sister in law organises a syndicate. We only do it when its a massive roll over. She does have about 25-30 people in the syndicate so i guess that increases our chances... no big wins yet though.

I play bananalotto every day. You collect points that dont actually get you much but theres always a chance you could win the biggie. And it is free to play.

I was involved in a syndicate a few years ago and I think we got 4 numbers a few times with the biggest win about £80, but overall it was a waste of time for 30 lines per week. I personally don't like the lottery, as I see it one big waste of time and promotes dreamers.

Your right about the dreamers, but can't say it's a waste of time. When you consider how many projects around the UK have benefitted from National Lottery funding. But yes you are right, people do dream of winning enough money so they never have to work again, the reality is you have to work to get something back and to add value and be worthy. Focus on becoming successful and help othes to do the same. Money follows success.

Hi Paul, Yes the projects it's helped fund is always worthwhile, but it has also created a new form of gambling and there are so many different types and the amount of people I see buying scratchcards in the NE of England is frightening :-[
