Has anyone ever heard or worked for the modsquad? I heard about it via a youtube video and took a look. It's a little vague on details and beyond things like we want passionate and enthusiastic people (which is lovely), there are few specifics on skills or qualifications or in fact a detailed job description, well at least I couldn't easily find it! I decided to take a blind leap and applied but would love to hear any views or insights? I will let you know when and if I hear anything.

All I found when I looked at the website last night was about 1001 internet buzz words!!

Looks like online chatroom moderation from what I can see from their homepage. They are boasting clients like NBC, NFL and Vimeo, but I imagine most of the work is 'adult' chat moderation for peanuts. Call me cynical, but anyone can put a brand logo on their website and claim they work with them... tempted to apply just to see if I'm right

The application asked you where you were from so I don't think you have to be based in the US. What I found interesting about the reviews is that it seems they didn't actually try it out! It is just a summary of glassdoor reviews and the company's website. Oh well, let's see what happens. I certainly would not be interested in adult chat rooms. Applying to be a mod is a different application than applying for a proper role there. A mod would be a freelance contractor and is not under their careers section but their 'join the mods' section at the bottom.

Have received an initial reply to say they are reviewing my documents and will be in touch if a project fits me. Regardless of the outcome, I appreciated the fact the reply seemed more personal than any other online company I have so far dealt with so that's a positive. Fingers crossed I hear from them again!
