GAMING I could go on about it forever and ever....

I did a Computer Games Tech course at University so yeah I casually have a degree in computer games haha - not that I did anything with it really as I found that I enjoyed playing games more than making them, I also didn't have a real specialisation I was a little bit good at everything and thats no good in that industry!

ANYWHOOO...

We own most consoles between me and my partner... SNES, N64, PS2, PS3, XBox360, Wii are the ones that are currently plugged in :D The only reason we haven't got a PS4/Xbox One yet is there hasn't been a release that has made spending the money on it justifiable (considering 8 month baby and me having no job haha)

My partner is currently playing the Bioshock Infinite DLC, and I'm watching with keen interest (love the Bioshock storylines)- my only weak point with gaming is I can't cope with anything remotely 'jumpy out' although Borderlands is an exception to that rule... yet I can't play Zelda Windwaker... don't ask - I don't even know how that works!!!

Me I'm currently addicted to Minecraft, love it - I run my own little server with a few friends running a modpack and I'm playing a modded skyblock map on single player.

We're also big into gaming memorabilia like figures, t-shirts and accessories! We have so many... fills up our house quite a bit.

It'd be fair to say that we would be quite shocked if baby girl turned out to be a non-gamer.... as well we're very into our Board games and Magic the Gathering too!

I see some great ideas for niche blog websites jumping off the page here ;)
Those with the most crazy hobbies have a big advantage.

I did post a new thread asking about the implications of this sort of thing in the earn money online board but no one seems to know as they haven't replied yet. According to Mojangs EULA you cannot make money from their products but are free to monetise videos so I kind of assume monetising a blog might be alright. Later on though they do state that any content created for minecraft can be copied/edited excetera by them and they have all rights to it but I think this is in regards to mods. There are so many people out there making money off of gaming related crafts that I don't think a blog advertising their game and leading them to sales of it will bother them.

I also wouldn't want to take away from Chammys geek craft blog so would rather blog about games than cool stuff related to games :)

I want this game so bad! Waiting for a Steam sale though haha

Just watched E3's Witcher trailer...give me NOW, why is it not out until February :'(

Also having cravings for WoW again, I get this most months but know if I resub I'll soon regret it. It's new expansion is in Alpha testing and even though I vowed not to buy it, I think I might have to ;D

I used to play a LOT!!! of COD, but didn't bother with MW Ghosts and swapped over to Battlefield 4 which looks and plays immense on PS4

I really don't like the look of Battlefield, maybe I should give it a go one day as we do have it.

Yes, I bought battlefield 4 for my son and it's never been out of the box. Can't bring myself to have a go lol

My partner really enjoyed The Last Of Us as a whole, just some irritating bits - I think most games are like that though...

In regards to E3 I'm not sure if I'm going to have time to enjoy anything new what with bubba as I have so much to play at home already!!

Octodad does look like crazy fun, I will have to give it ago some day but like Chammy I'm waiting for a sale :p

Having had a 360 since near enough launch, and having 3 RROD scares, I might just stick to PC gaming in the future, seems to be cheaper in the long run for me at least!

Finished it now. Really enjoyed it, quite short so at only £7 on the playstation store at the moment I am glad I didn't pay any more

Well worth a punt at that price

That's some bad luck there
I had a ps2 that lasted all of its life
My original 60gb ps3 lasted from launch date until late last year when I sold it

I used to an avid pc gamer but came to the end of my wits end with having the wrong graphics card but the right drivers or visa versa.

To be fair it was probably lack Of education in my part about what graphic cards to buy but as a consumer I just stopped caring and wanted games to just work out of the box.

Not being able to get GTA 3 work on my PCs with any settings even though my orchid graphics open gl card would work fine with other games was the final straw and I swapped over to console only.

Yes the games may be more expensive but I can guarantee for the life cycle of the console I won't have to buy any upgrades to play the latest games

I'm having huge WoW cravings but know until the new expansion comes out that I'll regret resubbing for it. Instead I have been keeping very busy with the free copy of Plants Vs Zombies that Origin have been giving away this week.

The husband is currently in creative mode, working on his own game so I won't get any sense from him for a few days now ;D

Well so far E3 has been...dull! ???

The only thing that has got me excited is the Sims 4, I will be having that on launch! Nothing has made either of us want to part with all that cash for a new console, Aaron has liked a few things but still is rather underwhelmed.

I am hoping Nintendo gives us some goodies, I want a WiiU but like the PS4 and Xbox1 we refuse to part with the cash until we know we can get our moneys worth.

Unfortunately I think most of the 'good' stuff that Nintendo has hinted at will be multi-platform at which point its better on one of the others IMO. Nintendo used to be my favourite but I think the Gamecube (and its games) was its last great console - I did enjoy some of the Wii though.

I haven't really paid much attention to E3 - I figured anything exciting will be shared on Facebook :)

The amount of Shovelware that came out on the Wii put me off buying anything from them for life I think

They need to pull a good Zelda out of the hat (not just Heroes of Hyrule) then I am sold. husband bought me a Wii the day it came out purely for Zelda: Twilight Princess so a good Zelda game is enough with what they currently have to make me give the husband the nod ;D

We watched Microsoft and EA's presentations, I followed Twitter for Ubisoft's until I fell asleep and then we caught up with Sony on IGN this morning. I'll be watching Nintendo's blog at 5 (I think) this afternoon.

Nintendo started off well but now they are blabbing on about the amiibo rubbish meaning they are trying to get you to spend more money on a game you have already paid for
