Just thought I'd mention this on this thread. I've joined up with Playtest Cloud - I'm not really into games but noticed someone on another forum had earned 19 quid from it. It's testing unreleased games on your mobile. Once the app is installed it automatically records your game play.
No use at all to me, I've only just got the hang of pacman

One of the discounts in the latest PS4 sale today is a remastered version of GODS!

I remember playing that on both the Amiga and Acorn Archimedes as it was a Bitmap Brothers CLASSIC along with Xenon2 and Speedball2!!

The hell have they done to the game!!!

Watched the Apple Keynote this morning

This Apple Arcade service looks like interesting. £4.99 a month for high quality games with no IAP or micro transactions

As someone who grew up in the Game Boy / Game Gear days I have no issues with gaming on a screen the size of my phone but I think the real use for this service will be the fact it's on AppleTV as well and with iOS13 this morning you can now pair your PS4 and xBox controller with your ATV to play games!!!

New Fifa comes out this week!

I remember when that game was like £29 from Asda on release day

But then I also remember paying £45-£50 for FIFA94 on the SNES

I've tried so hard to enjoy Fifa.
All my mates have it and play online together.
I've bought loads of copies of it and REALLY tried to enjoy it .

But I don't.

I used to be 100% Pro Evo. All throughout college and University on the PS2 and Ps3 and then in the last year I've moved over to FIFA as the online aspect of PES has just hit the fan and 'master league' which is their career mode was just utterly static every year!

Am Loving apple Arcade at the moment and all that it offers for £4.99 (I'm yet to pay, still on the free month)

Now it seems Playstation Now has dropped down to £8.99 a month or £49 for the entire yeah

and they've added a ton of games including
  • God of War
  • Grand Theft Auto V
  • inFAMOUS Second Son
  • Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End

I remember watching some talk a while ago about how we are going from games as a product to games as a service and I think we are finally here as everyone seems to be at it!

I get that 'old man' logic but things are changing!

You buy God of war.... You complete it.. what do you get out of continuing to own the physical copy?

just makes no sense

i'll think about this when i'm preordering the digital copy of modern warfare

When I lived between 2 houses, having digital copies meant I could play all my games no matter where I was. This was surprisingly useful.

I now have a PS4 in two different rooms in my place and I *could* eject a disc from one PS4 and put it in another PS4 fairly easily, I'm more likely to just continue to buy digital games.
