The Money Shed is going through a redesign at the moment that i've been working on for the last few weeks but you guys can't see just yet.

We've had our current layout for the last year and bit and it's time for a more up to date change which is going to FAR more responsive and modern (based on the feedback you gave me from the Survey!)

As part of this redesign I am needing to move various subforums around (not threads!) to make things look nice and smooth on the other side so everyone has a great experience when it goes LIVE!

Just wanted to make you all aware incase you wonder why things were moving around for what looked like no reason!

I am going to be flicking the switch on TMS 3.0 today

This is going to be for the desktop/laptop version of TMS only initially. I'm having a few issues with the mobile site side of things however I want to push on with the new release so

The new version of TMS will be used on laptops/desktops

The Mobile version of TMS will stay the same while I work on things in the background. I've just had a LOT on in my main job for the last few weeks and I need some real time to sit down with the site and gets the few bugs on the mobile site ironed out.

The Blog will remain the same

Please leave feedback in this thread regarding the redesign

[member=277]Chammy[/member] has already written us a very helpful 'how to use the new site' type guide which you can all find at http://www.themoneyshed.co.uk/index.php?topic=7077.0 so make sure you check that out before asking questions in here as it may have already been covered.

there seems to be a few issues with IE, your profile picture does not fit correctly within its table, it is larger than so that also impacts on the rest of the page I know its easy not to use IE as I use both but others might not

also not sure if its meant to be that way but the breadcrumbs at the top are no longer hyperlinks

The Money Shed » The Money Shed - Help / News / Contests » News

I use these to go back to the forum itself might just be the way I work though haha

I've just made a change regarding the avatars

Is that helping with how IE looks at all?

Really like the new design Jon.

Just thought I'd mention... I'm using Chrome and the "THE MONEY SHED" banner is cropped at the top and bottom"

Like the space background to the section headings.

Can you show me a screengrab of how the banner looks [member=2116]MuckleMaker[/member] please

Thanks again for the feedback

Hi, [member=1]Jon[/member] loving the new design and layout :) I don't know if it is my 'older' eyes but is the text lighter and smaller at all?

I did not do the Survey for it as I had only just started but one of the things I have noticed is that you have to actually click through to a thread to see the contents. I only have the green site as a reference, where you just hover your mouse and it shows the thread (I have no idea what the technical jargon for this is or if it is feasible).

Please understand this is just feedback and NOT criticism in any way, you have my full respect - I don't have a full-time job and struggle to find the time to do a tiny bit of match betting and surveys, let alone set up and run a brilliant site, and help people on a daily basis with their queries.

Thank you also to [member=277]Chammy[/member] for the useful guide on it. :)

[member=1]Jon[/member], just checked on Chrome briefly and the Money Shed banner at the top looks identical. Only looked at the home page. One thing I did notice though, the New Post icons on the left of each Board are ALL grey on Chrome but ALL blue on Firefox (which I am typing this from) apart from this one thread that I have been on.

Also in Chrome, The Money Shed Premium Content Board is showing as the first item underneath the Earning Money Online section on the right-hand side but in Firefox it is the last item.

In Chrome it has a Blue chain link icon, whilst in Firefox it has the two Blue Folder/Paper icons. Not important, just thought I would let you know :)

I know the feature you mean and yes I can implement it with a bit of coding.. Leave it with me..

On the left column, there is a gap between two sections (news and referrals) and it looks a bit strange

You go away on holiday and the whole TMS is changed lo l... dunno if this is a glitch or what am on mobile and can't find the 2 hotlinks usually at the top... new posts... and.. new replies to your posts? This is how I access the forums rather than going into every sub forum to find new posts... also as I type this I can't see what I am typing...have to type then go check it's there etc
