Streaming was fine even when I previously had max speed 6meg with Origin Broadband, faster and faster speeds is only to justify keep upping the prices. I am on BT lowest speed Fibre and have no problems when streaming football ( legally of course) :)

Well I've just done my yearly haggle with Virgin Media

I was on their MIX package so was paying £58 for
110 channels
110mb broadband
Talk Weekends (which I never use lol)

I'm not on £60 for
230 channels
350Mb Broadband
Talk Weekends which I still won't use!

am happy with that. The 'list' price on their website for the latter package starts at £69 anyway with 200mb broadband

now I just need to stream a LOT...to get use of those speeds lol

Handed my cancellation noticed and received a phone call from loyalty outbound team.

I was paying £64 per month for Full House XL TV, Sky Movies, 200MB Broadband and Talk more Anytime.

I have now been offered the following:

1) £48.50 for 12 months
MAXIT TV (plus kids bundle and sky movies)
350MB Broadband
Talk weekends

2) £40 for 12 months
MAXIT TV (plus Kids bundle)
200MB Broadband
Talk weekends

Trying to decide between the two. Tried to negotiate down further but not had much success and don't think they will budge anymore. Wondering whether it is worth paying extra £8.50 for theoretically faster BB and Sky Movies.

If you did actually achieve those speeds then 200MB is plenty fast enough. I'd say its a question of whether you will make use of sky movies.

Yeah especially with the likes of nowtv existing from the same provider but for a lot cheaper lol

Though I know nowtv don’t do the films in HD which is annoying in 2019
