This, exactly. You can clearly see I'm the author, with links to me on Coupon Shop, published in 2014. [member=3129]Cultkid[/member] has come along and copied my content to here, the green site and who knows where else.

I spotted it because it is REALLY out of date - loads of those apps don't even exist any more.

If you're going to be stupid enough to plagiarise someone, don't do it on a forum where they're a mod. And don't copy it to the green site .

Where can I send the bill for copyright infringement to please?

It does show you as the author and as a couple of others. Are they not guest posts on that website? If they aren't ones you've agreed then that is very bad show from the author. I understand that there will be LOADS of similar content on blogs, but to lift it word to word by pretending you are a content writer for the site is not nice

Ah... I thought the original poster WAS from the couponshop and they had stolen content from your FATH blog to that website. Sorry I got the wrong end of the stick If he has just cut and paste from the couponshop website onto here And the green place then thats just not cricket. I think some people think everything on the internet is 'Free' and they can do what they want with it.

I was going to ask about AppXpert... Whether it was still going or not.... Did them a couple of years ago... initially started off great... Faded rapidly and then took an age to pay out... So much so got bored of waiting with them

I totally get it! Can you get Jon to bounce them and Ban the IP? You could also report it on the green site and see if they will remove the post? Can't do any harm to ask.

PUBLIC APOLOGY

I'm a stand up person not one to run away from problems and i will totally hold my hands up and say yes i did wrong here and i am genuinely sorry to emma drew who was the original creator of this post, like most of you i come here for help as i am on my arse jobwise and life at the moment is lets say not easy, i am totally new to this very naive and stupid and upset with myself that i have upset someone but i was just genuinely trying to help people out with this post am not going to run away and just dissapear and i do hope admins don't just ban me from this brilliant forum that has been built here among yourselves.

Yes this post won't do great for my credentials and in future anything i come across over the internet if i use that content word for word like i did on this thread i will state where i got it from and credit the original author.

Lesson learned and i am very sorry for any undue stress i have caused and if this upsets anyone else here on this forum you have my apology to

Have to admire Cultkid putting his hands up and being big enough to apologise. So good on you for doing that. I know that it is wrong to plagiarise (As an amateur photographer I have had my shots "stolen" over the years) and Cultkid is now fully aware that it was a mistake on his part, but, I never knew of AlditoHarrods genuine and original list and found the content of the original post very helpful so a wee lesson learnt, but, if anyone comes across an on topic article/blog whatever that is relevant here and may or may not have been posted here please repost with credit (Unless the owner specifies against reposting)or at least a link to the original for all to see.

Don't worry about it Cultkid, we all mess up and the internet can be such a mine field. Just remember this rule of thumb:

If you didn't write it, then tell people where it came from and/or give the author credit.

This whole ordeal would have been avoided if you'd have started it "I've found this awesome guide written by AldiToHarrods here [insert link]" then added snippets - so your favourite sections.

There's no harm done, no-one is going to ban you so don't worry about it. Keep up the good work - a helpful member if a valued member xx

Just to let you know though, even if you credit someone it is STILL copyright infringement.

Yes Darcey. .. they are always there (until someone does them obviously) but they seem to be up 24/7... where abouts are you?

Hi [member=2821]mabozza[/member] - it's trial and error - sometimes i open the screen and i can only see two, even after refreshing, then only minutes later i can see lots - although really there aren't lots that are close to each other if you know what i mean! I'm in the southeast - close to Windsor, Eton and Slough.

Just had a wee look Darcey around your area, there isn't too many near you at the moment, the app zoom can be funny, you can refresh get nothing....refresh the same view get loads!!
