Hi Guys and Gals,

What do you find gets you through those days where you just feel deflated and low. The last few days have been like that for me no idea why and I really shouldn't, I had the money in my bank from a PPI and home life is good but I just feel "meh".

I am sure we all have them times and get through them somehow. I am getting out and about today hopefully keeping busy or walking to help get my mind to settle down and to try and push myself out of this low mood.

How do you deal with it when you find yourself a bit down?

Absolutely

I have bad days at work and I have bad days with Self Employed work online where you can feel like you are banging you head against a brick wall.

I do a LOT of fitness which helps because it gets out stress / adrenaline

You need some way of getting that stress out of your system!

I've been flat since I finished college in June. My wee girl started school in August and I've had no routine since then. Been for numerous interviews and applied for hundreds of jobs to be knocked back. The best excuse was we thought you might get bored.
Anyway I've taken to getting out and about in my community doing some voluntary work and now thinking about going forward with my education and getting a degree. The new year was a turning point for me with lots of new opportunities arising.

Hope you perk up soon :)

Hi Guys and Gals,

How do you deal with it when you find yourself a bit down?

I'd advise to get outside for a walk. Especially if you have some green space like a park or woods nearby

I've definitely had those days when sometimes it just feels like one thing after another :( I used to sit in the toilet at work and list all the positive things in my life - having a loving family, having good health, a decent job etc. Try not to focus on the negatives (debt, single parent etc.)

Also, there are a lot of positive affirmation videos on YouTube which I used to find helpful. It was a small period of time where I too was feeling a bit 'meh' but its good to get on top of it before the feeling of being 'down' becomes overwhelming.

I blame the cold weather.... I try to set myself 3 challenges, a day, whether it’s something as simple as read a chapter of a book, text a friend, look for something positive.

Try to turn a nagative into a positive...
For Me in July thus year I will have been on crutches for 16years ( ar accident and being pregnant), I. Never run a marathon, be a super slim gym bunny... but I. An swim, may look like a beached whale... but I can do it,

Omg I said this yesterday! The cold weather is certainly a downer and I definitely think if I had a hol right about now with some sunshine I would notice the difference. Glad you were able to think of some positives :)

Get outside for a walk. Fresh air always clear away the cobwebs and can help you feel better and face the day

Going out for a walk always helps me too. Just getting away from what is getting me down, frustrating me, or winding me up. I've sorted all sorts of things out in my mind by taking a brisk 15-30 min walk. There's been a few times when I've cut a walk short as I couldn't wait to get back to my desk because I'd solved a problem or worked out what I'm going to do.
