Hi all,

I sell a few bits on Vinted and really like buying stuff from the app too. However, I have a handful of items on there which I just can't seem to shift. Many of them are brand new and I have them listed for much less than 50% or the original price. It just seems so much better for selling women's clothes. Any tips?

I used to reselll clothes on ebay. Ladies clothes do very well but I found the only time I sold mens clothing was if it was in the XXL range.

Possibly. Although talking to my friends they actually seem to buy a lot from there. I think maybe it is just more specific stuff. For example, it may be a rugby top of a specific model of trainers. Whereas people like my wife will browse for hours to find stuff she likes.

I’ve found a lot of items unless they are ‘designer’ sell for peanuts. I’ve seen hoodies that retail £50-90 being sold for £6. Some people just waste your time as well offering £1 for items you've asked for much more for. Suppose it must work sometimes

Do people usually post stuff out on Vinted or do buyers want to come and collect them?

Sold 4 things on Vinted, 1 nice buyer and 3 idiots. I sent one of the parcels to a guys collection store and he let it sit there for 2 weeks before picking it up then didn't even bother saying he collected it. So I stick to eBay for selling, even tho the fee % is a joke, at least you can cancel an order if the buyer is being a prat

Make sure your listings have clear and high-quality photos. Good lighting and multiple angles can make a big difference. Also, write detailed descriptions, including brand, size, and condition. Consider promoting your items or bundling them together for a discount. Engaging with potential buyers in the comments can also help. And don't forget to share your listings on social media for more exposure. Oh, and speaking of suits, our gang once scored awesome groomsmen's suits that saved us a ton at a wedding. Who was speaking of suits? No one was speaking of suits beyond you spamming a random and off topic link.

I totally get what you’re saying about it being harder to sell men’s clothes on platforms like Vinted. I've had a similar experience, especially with items like shirts or trousers that aren’t from bigger names or designer brands. People don’t seem as keen unless it’s trendy streetwear or something high-end. Also, I’ve noticed that buyers can be super picky and often lowball, which gets frustrating.

I will say, though, that bundling items helps sometimes, like offering a discount if someone buys two or three things. Also, having really crisp photos and detailed descriptions goes a long way to attract more serious buyers. If you’re thinking about designer accessories, like bags or wallets to add into your listings, something like Coach bags or charms might stand out more to potential buyers looking for quality stuff.
