Hi all,
Xmas Treats USA
I set up a google alert for TCB UK's Xmas Treats (which surely must be coming right?) as I always miss the first day. I was surprised to see that TCB USA are running their own version which started yesterday, I believe (Gap & Bloomingdales are the clues so far).
I was able to sign up and click through & have been able to take part so far despite being in the UK.
Minimum payout to PayPal is apparently $0.01, so if you win anything at all you'll be able to cash in.
eBay @ 2%
The most interesting thing however was the cashback available on eBay.
TCB UK lists it as 1.05%, whereas it's a heady 2% for the US.
Ok, so the additional 0.95% is unlikely to bring Coutt's Private Bank courting, but hear me out...
You can use your usual eBay login to search eBay.com for items that ship to the UK, which will mostly be local UK sellers. If you have a credit card which doesn't charge for purchases in foreign currency (Monzo/Halifax Clarity/Nationwide Select), you can pay in $ and get the extra cashback.
Other retailers
There also seem to be other retailers out there where you can get cashback on the US site but not on the UK e.g. Amazon.
Referral
I hope this has been helpful. My referral code for TCB USA is here:
