Hmm, the most recent sign up said he used the last link in the chain, which is probably why people assume as much.
You are gonna get far more signups trying to catch folk using google who are typing search queries in than only appealing to someone who has found this site, this thread and seen THAT post

something to think about anyway :)

Let's put it to the test.

Hi Folks! :)

Trading 212 is a London based fintech company that offers a free, nicely designed and easy to use app, enabling anyone to trade equities, Forex, commodities and more.

They were the first zero commission stock trading service in the UK and Europe, and since launch their mobile app has had more than 14,000,000 downloads, which makes it one of the most popular trading apps in the world.

More locally, they’ve been the UK’s #1 trading app since 2016, and in 2017 they reached the #1 spot in Germany.

At the moment, Trading 212 are holding a promotion where we can both get a free share on their platform.

Who qualifies for the free share?
Anyone above the age of 18 who opens and deposits £1 into a Trading 212 Invest or ISA free commission stock trading account on the Trading 212 platform. Upon deposit, you will be allocated a random free share up to £100 within one business day.

You can withdraw your £1 again once you get the notification that your free share has been allocated!

How does it work?
Well, when you sign up to the platform, you will be randomly assigned a share of a selected company traded on established markets - this can include NASDAQ and FTSE.

Upon sign up, you will need to verify your ID - to prove you are over 18 and a resident of the UK, Germany, Switzerland, France, The Netherlands or Italy. Almost instantly, you should get a notification that your free share has been allocated and the order is waiting to be executed.

If you sign up when the markets are open, usually the orders are sent and executed the same working day!

What kind of shares are available?
In this thread alone, some have received Under Armour, AstraZeneca, HP Entertainment, Disney, Vodafone Group, Aston Martin, Ocado, Tesco and the like.

Why should I use Trading 212?
In all honesty, the app is very easy to use once you get your head around it. You also have the benefit of tutorial videos that you can access via the app.

They also allow you to buy fractional shares - so now you too can own a part of a FAANG company!

And finally, you can heavily customise the look and feel of the app - I have mine on Dark mode because I'm a weirdo obsessed with the colour black.

What are the downsides?
Losing money of course!

Some users on this thread have used their own money to buy extra shares outside the ones they have obtained via the referral scheme - personally I haven't as I have no interest in doing so...

But, as another member mentioned, investing and trading is basically gambling. Be sure to only wager money you can afford to lose! Or, just make sure you have a solid investing strategy that will help take the emotional element out of investing/trading so you can make better trades.

Okay, that's all great! How do I sign up?!
To sign up, please use my referral link: This will entitle you to one free promotional share using the terms & conditions cited on the Trading 212 website.

What if I have any other questions?
Feel free to reply to this message or just PM me.

Good luck!

So I deposited £10 onto Trading212 and had a little play but it was clear I didn’t know what I was doing so I sold my shares and got £8.94 in my balance but it’s saying it’s blocked and won’t let me withdraw it? Why is that?

You can withdraw the money after 30 days. Sadly that’s what is in their T&C’s.

I'm still new to using trading 212 and have bought shares directly into various organisations on the ftse. All appears to be going well so far! I was looking at the ETFs that can also be invested into - such as those that track the ftse e.g. iShares core ftse 100 and Vanguard ftse 100. I know that trading 212 is fee free, however I'm aware that these ETFs need to be put together by iShares etc and that they typically invoke a fee if you invest. Please can someone confirm that if you invest in these ETFs via trading 212 you are not charged a fee at any point. Thanks...

I’ve just had a notification because I referred someone saying I’ll receive one free share in 1 business days. Do I have to click on the company and click buy? Or do I just leave it?

And it’s for HP. It says $10.55. Is that what I’ll get?

You don’t need to do anything, you’ll be allocated it tomorrow when the market opens again :)

Awesome. So because I have to wait 3 days to sell it, the $10.55 could go up/down in that time right?

Yeah but honestly with how things are right now I would consider holding onto the free shares as prices are rock bottom right now!
