Not sure if this should be in this section, but I had a good experience.
Tymit is a free online credit card managed by app, gives you 3 months interest free on purchases, or if you want to take longer it tells you the cost. No fee to sign up. My credit limit was £1,500.
If you apply, there is a soft credit check, I believe this does not impact your credit rating if declined. The ID check is also instant for those who pass it - the app requires a selfie plus picture of your passport/driving licence
The current promotion is a £15 credit to your account on your first purchase over £1. Either you can top up Amazon, but the best way is to add the new card details to your Google pay - this pre-authorises £1 (which is refunded), but is enough to trigger the credit.
To get it:
- Download app from http://www.tymit.com
- Use code SIMONL8857
- Go through verification
- Spend something on the card to generate the credit, which appears immediately. You can press the card button (second button in from the left) to show your virtual card, so you don't have to wait for the physical one to arrive.
Had it for about a week and seems to be working as planned, so any questions do let me know.
