Yep. The locations were Milton tesco Cambridge, Ely stores and Newmarket stores.

I had the same email as you alditoharrods and offered to cover roughly the same area, although I wouldn't have minded going east of Newmarket. I guessed maybe the students would nab our area.

Talking of Ely I made it there during the week, doing an audit at a cheap supermarket that is the opposite of Harrods ;) , so I have at last seen the beautiful cathedral close up instead of admiring it across the fens from the train window. It is magnificent, but I chose not to stump up the 8 quid  it costs to look round inside. The thing that struck me most about Ely though was the number of smokers. It seemed like the whole town was outside puffing away - very strange.

Anyway, maybe Streetbees will keep us Shedders in mind for future campaigns
. I'll make myself available for Bury St Edmunds direction so I don't tread on your toes A2H ;)

Have you got a shedload of visits to do then Jon?

That will indeed be happening, Am catching up with them after this task next week to discuss Streetbees using us in the first instance for recruiting people to do their tasks

I have not taken any of the Leeds ones, got 2 management meetings in the south of the city and just can't make it work in terms of where the stores are and where I would need to be..

Oh well. Maybe someone from The Shed who was allocated the task could let us know how they get on.

You're welcome to them :p

Hands off Newmarket though - that's mine all mine ;D ;D especially as I'm environmentally friendly as I walk everywhere. Anywhere else means a bus or a train so I'm at a disadvantage - but at the same time I'm not spending ££££££ on running a petrol gobbler.

I've been offered four jobs in my city, so as I'm off work next week I'm going to do them all. Will have to take my son with me but I reckon he's a pretty good cover for looking at Lego Movie DVDs. ;D

I have 6 stores to do in Newcastle - I suppose living in the middle of nowhere has its advantages sometimes.

Just need to work out the best route between the stores as they are a bit spread out.

I wonder if this works? http://findthebestroute.com/RouteFinder.html

Thanks to everyone that applied for the Lego Audit job on Monday, we had an absolutely amazing response. Big shout out to Jon - thank you!

Wanted to let everyone know that we have now closed all applications and allocated the jobs. Sorry to those that missed out this time. Couldn't give everyone work as we were working off a predetermined list, sometimes there just wasn't store checks in certain areas.

We will have more work coming up, so those that mentioned they wanted to be contacted when that occurs, we'll send you an email at the time.

Thanks again :D

If anyone is from Hull or Glasgow, we have plenty of jobs in your area. :)

Please shoot me an email on hello.simon.desmond@gmail.com and the store checks are yours.

Thanks!

Okay, so I have completed 5 out of 6 so far - saving the last for the journey home from work.

My observations on the tasks so far are:

1. Much easier than the Roamler task where you have to take multiple photos in store and answer detailed Qs as you go along.
2. You get pretty quick feedback by email about the quality of your work - I have been asked to make sure that the photos are more in focus as a couple were a bit blurry - nice to get feedback for future assignments quickly rather than slow rejection and non-payment. I find it a little difficult to concentrate on checking that it's in focus when the stands are right next to the checkout and the shop assistant is staring at you. I would be a hopeless spy!
3. It has taken me about 1.25 hours to do 5 tasks (longer that I expected due to choosing rush hour to do it).

Overall, a very nice little earner and I hope this helps others to decide whether or not to do this in future.

A little under £35 an hour then

How did or does the bonus system work on these tasks?

I had no idea there was a bonus system. What's all that about then?

it was my understanding that a bonus scheme was in place if you completed a certain number of audits

I will ask Simon to comment

I did my four tasks today, it was a really straightforward survey with photos. As *TheRewardGuy* said, the questions weren't as detailed as Roamler tasks and fewer photos were required, unless the DVD stand was damaged or you needed to point something else out. I've had a bit of individual feedback and a group email this evening saying they're analysing the results and payment will be made by eop tomorrow.

It took me about 2 hours to do the four tasks as they were a bit spread apart and I stopped off at Aldi for a few bits after the first task, so I'd say without the Aldi visit it'd have been about 1.5 hours.

Would definitely like to do more jobs for Street Bees. :)

Hello, long time lurker here! ;)

Just posting to say thanks so much Jon for organising the StreetBees task, I had 6 in London, and they were super easy, especially compared to the more complex tasks on apps such as Roamler and Clic and Walk!

Simon was easy to reach, as I was paid promptly.

Hopefully they can sort out more tasks so more of us at the money shed can get involved! :)

I echo this sentiment.
I have received £42 - was pleased to see that no paypal fees were deducted too ;D

One of the best companies that I have worked for - helpful feedback, prompt payment and courteous reps. Couldn't really ask for any more than that.

Thanks to Jon for arranging it and I hope that there will be some more tasks in the future.

Shame on you the green site for denying your members the chance to get a piece of the action and instead condemning them to a life of posting Swagbucks search success stories instead
