I don’t have facebook so wondering if that matters (although they did give the option for entering 0 in that part and potentially getting an account if selected). Also wondering if they are picking based on regional accent-I’m from Northern Ireland.
It didn’t matter for the first part of this project if you didn’t have Facebook, you had to make a dummy account if successful though. They were more focused on accents and age in the first part so would think it would be the same again as to who they take on this time.
Referrals weren’t requested until the cycle was open and they stated what they were looking for ie sex, age, accents. Presume it would be the same again this time. As far as I can see they’ve not allocated all the spaces yet as they were looking for 100 people I believe and there looks to be still 20ish spaces left.

has anyone ever worked for utest and accepted onto a cycle but then realised when you go to choose an allocated spot that they are all taken? It says you get marked down for accepting a cycle and not completing it, but there is no capacity for me to complete it, so where do i go from there?
Yes this has happened to me on a few occasions so I’ve just left it and not done anything and the cycle closes. It’s not had a major detrimental effect on me getting offered other work to be honest so I wouldn’t worry too much about it. Just a tip though, when you get the invite through choose to review the cycle and then at the top of the cycle press the button that has 3 lines on it - it should then give you the slots option, click on that and see what is available and if nothing, decline the invitation rather than accept and when it asks why your declining state that there is no test cases available. Not sure what project it is you have accepted but is there an option to find bugs for the test or was it just test case slots? It might be that you can still find bugs for the test and get paid without having an actual test case slot but to be honest I tend to veer away from these unless I get a test case slot.

That is a really useful tip about reviewing the cycle,to be honest I did see the bit where it mentions allocating myself a slot but I assumed there would be a lot of space-rookie mistake there!
Yes it sounds like it’s just been test slots for that project then if bugs are out of scope. Definitely worth reviewing the cycle to make sure there is slots available before accepting the invite when you get them through.
