Hello everyone!

I'm a new comper, started a few days ago. I've read through the beginners guide and a bunch of great posts which have helped me massively. I've been searching around for different competitions on Google, but I'm wondering if there are any known comp websites or comp types to avoid? Apologies if this has already been posted.

Thanks!
Abby

I find The Prize Finder is quite good and I usually work my way through comps in order of closing date or by comp type. I previously signed up to Compers Weekly but didn't find that to be any better than the free sites out there so it wasn't value for money for me (~£5 per month) - but if you like to receive paper based comping mags then it isn't a bad shout.

Oh meant to say if you do sign up for The Prize Finder, be sure to email their consumer data protection department straight away (email is in in the T&C, I think) and ask that they do not use your details for marketing purposes or sell it on to third parties. It is detailed in their Privacy Policy so you are within your rights to opt out (particularly with GDPR on the way this month!).

I use the the green site forum board on comping - there's some utter rubbish in there, but I don't like the layout of prize finder.

I agree, domravioli, the layout isn't great but I usually just go straight to the closing date and do these a day ahead of closing to be sure my entry is in.

The other good one is competition database. It's easy to follow and separate the various types of comps if there's some you don't want. You can mark the ones you've done and keep track. It's free too!

Hello Everyone.
I think I must be lazy as I prefer the one click competitions sites like Skint Dad and PrizeDeck. There is lot of time wasted on some sites as they seem to guide you onto 3rd party sites.
