I sometimes think eBay users buy some really bizarre things. I once sold a load of those free woolly hats you get off the top of the innocent smoothie bottles and a used hairband (all for profit, although I can't remember how much now).

YEARS ago I used to go into Orange phone stores and get these keyrings that had some weird mascott they were using at the time. I didn't even pay for them they were given out free if you just went in store.

Anyway the character got big on TV at the time and they would sell on eBay for £15-£20

Nowdays when stuff like that happens it seems to take 2 seconds for another company to make a dupe knockoff and flood ebay with that and the opportunity isn't there anymore

i also remember ebay in the late 90s being RIDDLED with endless 'express on covers' for Nokia 5110 phones!
