I’m really bad are organising my work and days, I plan on doing this and that then end up being all over the place and by the end of the day trying to catch up and feel like I’m left with nothing practical.
Any tips would be great!

Are you self employed? If so don't worry about the start and end of the day, there is just 'doing stuff' time. If you get everything done between 11am-12:30pm then you are done!

Yes self employed but still early days, I’d love to having my work done by this I’m just rubbish at prioritising the work. Thanks for the tip though! Will try and aim for this time makes perfect sense :)

Honestly I work ALL OVER the place time-wise during the day but I tend to switch off by 3pm regardless of when I start.

The feeling that you should be working at all times just like people in offices takes quite a while to go away!!

Interesting question and depends what you define as 'work' I think. I tend to do planned stuff either early or late BUT I dip into various forums just for a nosey throughout the day and sometimes that leads to money making opportunities.

You've just got to find what works for you and not give yourself a hard time no matter if you work for 2 hours a day or 10!!

yeah I tend to do planned stuff early as well. So that could be getting some content out or working on an email newsletter etc..

I find making a list at the start of the day helps - containing things I absolutely must get done that day and working through it. since starting that I find I'm procrastinating less and much more productive

Yeah i know @katykicker is the LIST QUEEN with that sort of stuff.

being able to manage your time in some sort of way if just another challenge of self employment but I suppose the flip side is that you can dance to your own drum and take days off whenever you want

Time management is important.

I work 9-5 so my money stuff is around those hours.

6-9 I'm getting ready and going to work.
5-6..30 I'm going home
6.30-8pm I'm cooking dinner/house stuff.

So most of my money making stuff happens after 8pm at night and at the weekends.

If I was Self Employed doing money stuff all the time then I'd not need to go to the office. I think I'd mirror @Jon 's plan of starting 'work' at 10am and having a number of tasks I want to complete that day.

Based on the recent audio task, it would be important to allow some flexibility in my working structure in case something comes up. Also, its important to have flexibility to make sure that you don't just burn yourself out.

2020 will be an interesting year for me, thats for sure.

:)

This post has made me realise I need to get my house in order and start more evening work. The problem with my job it tends to encroach into my own time...I need to be stricter with this and leave the office at five wherever possible.

If it makes you feel better my hours are all over the shop
Thing is when we both used to be on leapforce we used to be like WORKKKKKK and would get on and do it together so you need to sort of have that freedom to work at any time sometimes
