[member=2613]mcp[/member] I love the ebay buying to sell for more. I often do it with miniatures and collectibles that I know about. And January time is usually best time as there are a few less buyers due to the holidays.

[member=3099]Thiftyhusband[/member] - I have a collectables niche that I've been working for years. You're right about there being good times of year to buy - dependent on what you collect.

If (and I don't) but if I collected tennis memorabilia I would sell in the lead up to Wimbledon and buy in the autumn/winter. You just need to think about what you are doing and you can make a decent profit.

It is always about the knowledge at end of the day from what you have gathered or learned from others. That profit at the end is always worth the effort of learning it.

[member=2613]mcp[/member] well least you narrowed it down but still so hard to turn down those cut little faces saying pick me. Take all three you know you want to :)

[member=3099]Thiftyhusband[/member] - honestly, we would be happy with one. We need to see how the cat's react to us first (puts catnip in pocket before meeting them)

Hahaha you little cat briber you. I am sure they will love you.
My sister adopted a rescue cat called Kitty (looked just like Felix from the advert) and she started off so timid but after a while (and maybe the help of another cat lol) she became really affectionate towards us.

Aw, thats lovely! We're still waiting to hear from the cat rescue centre re: our initial meeting. Am thinking we're going to be looking at Monday now.

Only just seeing that the TMS_Bot's picture is of Bertha! I thought i was the only one who remembered this from childhood, we even had the Bertha board game where you had to make noises and everything.

Sometimes it's the simple things.....!

Well i'm glad SOMEONE appreciates that!

Might sound like a weird one but my daughter discovered yesterday that she could escape her cot (well rediscovered, she did it once before and scared herself and hasn't done it again for 6 months) and last night spent over 2 hours with us having to put her back in. It made me smile because of the number of different places we found her, the first time we heard bumping down the stairs and saw her coming down on her stomach, second time she walked down the stairs. After that we sorted her room a bit and got the stair gate on her door usable so at least she couldn't escape (worry was she'd fall down the stairs, or end up getting to something she shouldn't).

The next hour I went up every few minutes and I'd find her either stood at the stair gate, giggling when I saw her, once she was sat on the chair we have in her room reading a book (all the books were above her reach though so she must have stood on the chair to get them!) Once she was sitting in a pile of cuddly toys, only once did she actually shout to tell me she'd got out (again).

Luckily, that morning my wife had started getting the room ready to convert her cotbed into a bed, moving the chair out (we want something more suitable for a little girls rooms) and replacing the changing table for actual storage.

This is so cute! How old is she?

I had a period of time where I seemed to get screened out a lot. Then on a couple of surveys I hit technical issues. I informed GTM of these issues and since then I hardly ever get screened out and get lots of invites :)

She's 3, we've been planning to move her into a bed for a while but other things kept coming up. We're amazed it took so long for her to start doing this, most friends we know were moving their children out near 2 due to escape artist like tendencies.

It's a lot easier when they're in a cot and you don't have to worry about them escaping. I opened my eyes one morning last week to see my daughter staring at me just inches from my face. Apparantly she was watching the bats in my hair

I had a big box arrive that had lots of the s shaped polystyrene packaging in it. I took it out to the bin, opened the lid and tipped it in - just as a huge updraft of wind blew. The little 's's all flew up in a spiral making a tinkling noise. I shouted fly Dorothy, fly (If you haven't seen the film Twister, then that will probably be lost on you lol)

I'm sure that my neighbours think that I'm clinically insane ;)

Anyway, it tickled me, watching them flying upwards. Not so much fun once they'd come back down and I had to collect them up though :)

Today we built the cot! We also put the movement sensor in place, and then I spent 3 whole hours getting things washed, unpacked and in their homes. Our entire home is ready for our daughter now, as ready as you can be. I'm at risk of an early delivery so I've now got my hospital bag and even the changing bag packed, just in case, nice to know it is all done ready for when I start maternity leave soon!

Very excited as my Mum is moving down the road in a weeks time! Looking forward to having her nearby.

Lots to look forward to in the coming weeks! absolutely shattered today but having a creme egg as a treat (don't really eat chocolate since being pregnant) :D

Little things. Have a big list of Reminders and today's job was downgrade mobile contract at end of term to sim only. Hoping to haggle of course. Was offered £4 off website price for new tariff so instead of £35 a month my new contract is £12.99 a month sim only for pretty much the same thing :)

Also I have a three day weekend.

And Pepsi purring [emoji169]

I've now had to put my reminders into folders! And only use the 'scheduled' view on iOS app. Too messy otherwise.

My animals have made me smile again today. Our little chi trotted past our female cat Pepsi and swooshed her in the face with her bushy tail inadvertently and Pepsi's look of disdain was priceless

SNOW! ;D

It's very wet and sleety here (none of it lying though) but wanted out for a walk so drove to the community woodland just a few miles away. A good inch or so of snow lying. This is our 2nd or 3rd covering in the last month - miss it when it's gone!
