I'm pissed off - I am sat like a numpty waiting for Open Outsourcing to call me on Skype - they were meant to at 7pm.

Ah, I haven't had the time to read up on that yet, what with all the drama...good that you've got you could of had an interview though!

Needing to sort out some ID. I need it for my meet and greet (obviously to prove I am who I say I am) but don't have any and a) I don't ever planning on learning to drive and b) Passport expired 4 years ago and I have no plans on going abroad any time soon. It's so damn expensive, £20 for something I'll never use and £80+ for a passport which might sit in the drawer another 2 years before being properly used, plus photos  Why were ID cards dropped again?

You should sort out some kind of ID as if you ever decide to go for a regular daytime job you will more than likely be asked for ID

ESPECIALLY from recruitment agencies

Yeah, I tend to go with birth and marriage certificate, medical card, bills etc...people who need a CRB from me absolutely hate love me ;) I've been saying I'll sort it since my passport ran out, just until I need it I don't remember ::)

Can save you a few pennies - do your own passport photos at home.
We needed 3 passports earlier this year. Took and printed our own - accepted by passport office with no issue.

Oh I'm just the same. Never learned to drive (and no intention of doing so) and my passport expired in 2006. I'm in the middle of selling a property and have annoyed both the estate agent and solicitor with my lack of ID. However, in the end, they both accepted my old passport along with my birth certificate. I so need to sort out my passport though...but it's such an expense, especially when I've no intention of going abroad anytime soon. And then there's the horror of the always bad passport photo to contend with too! Ugh.

Also, what's pissed me off today...

Forgetting that I'd turned the volume up full on my PC in case a question came my way while I was pottering about. A question came my way. Naturally I was sitting right in front of the screen at the time.

Ha, I've made almost £3 today wooo!

(Admittedly I was out for an hour and spent probably another hour not logged in when I was redoing Whatusersdo and making some dull phone calls, but yep, apart from that I've been logged in since 8am. Joy.)

People who are too absorbed in their phones instead of looking where they're going!
I'm carrying a large box on my shoulder I cannot see to my right - I don't see how it's my fault if I nearly knock someone out!!

I'm the opposite - passport & driving licence so things like that are pretty straightforward for me. However, I look like a smackhead in my passport picture (dodgy lighting & no make-up on).

Can't you get those citizen cards or age cards? I have one from when I was 18 - I got asked for ID for alcohol a couple of years ago & didn't have my driving licence on me; I hunted through my bag and found my age card, but they wouldn't accept it as they thought it was fake (it didn't have the hologram on which is what the newer ones have one apparently) and made me feel really daft lol. I tried to explain it was cos I was 31 (at the time) and the card was 13yrs old, and tbh I shouldn't need the bloody thing anyway.

I've just looked into it, the last time I checked they had to be renewed each year...now they don't. I might looking into one as they are only £15.

Dramas so far today:

got into my car to drive to the chemist and post office and the car wouldn't start - no power . Called the local garage who said they were close and to ring back on Monday morning (I have to leave here (work) on Monday to get back to Berkshire). May have to try RAC and see what they think.

Had to then walk to and back from the chemist and post office whilst still suffering with inflammation in my bad knee from where the dog knocked me over last week (in fact I was on my was to buy something for it which ended up costing me nearly a tenner!)

if it's out of power

can you not just get the jump leads out and start off another car?

No jump leads (shame on me) and the only people I know around here (it's my workplace) are on holiday this weekend...I'm sure it'll get sorted though
