Went to buy a little box of cigars as a stocking filler and could not get one without a picture of a man lying in a hospital bed. We all know smoking is not the best for your health, but jeez

They do make you think... are there any stats on how effective they are?

My dentist! I cracked a filling last week and managed to get an appointment this morning. Started walking through (takes half an hour) and got a call just 20 minutes before my appointment cancelling it!

If a patient cancels within 24 hours, they get fined. But it's all fine and dandy for them to cancel at the last minute. There are now no appointments until next year, so let's just hope that I don't bite on anything too hard over Crimbo!

Yeah that winds me up too, had an appointment cancelled on me a few months ago, only a check up though, so nowhere near as bad as your situation.

I guess if it got really bad you could try A&E - hope you're ok.

How rude! I had this LOTS with a hospital consultant once..

I finally wrote in via PALS complaining... Turned out he'd died 6 months before and no-one had noticed... So 6 months of payments in his bank and 6 months of his receptionist thinking he hadn't come to his monthly clinics because he was busy :D

My phone broke yesterday :(

No clue how, just won't switch on, computer doesn't recognise it and won't charge.

Tried everything to fix it, but still nothing.

Contacted my insurance company and they will get back to me in 2 working days to let me know if the claim is going to be accepted or not :(

Stuck with a poopy iPhone till they get it sorted. Thinking it's gonna be a few weeks :( I want my S5 back- still hoping it just pops back to life for me

Fingers crossed for you [member=1020]Terriixx[/member] - let us know how you get on!

What has pissed me off today... Getting punched in the eye but an over tired little girl (my daughter Daisy)... I come back into the living room and my husband said 'what is wrong with your eye' apparently it looks all red and sore. Looks alright in my phone camera so can't be that bad.

Went up into the loft at the weekend and thought that it smelt a bit funky, looked up and there's a great big patch of daylight showing through the roof. One of the ridge tiles has broken. That'll cost us an arm and a leg because of the scaffolding, not the work! I'm certainly not getting up there to do it myself.

The thing is, what can you do, you have to pay these people as you can't do the work yourself

I've bought all the bits for our bathroom renovation myself but it's still costing me over £600 for them to fit the damn stuff!!

My house is rather annoying me at the moment too. (Also recently had the roofers in to take a look but thankfully they said was just condensation).

The previous owner basically got a bunch of cowboys in and we're having to deal with the consequences. We can't remove the bath panel because they sealed it in and built a small shelf in front of it, toilet is sealed into the wall so no access to cistern, units built around integrated appliances so they've drilled a small hole for the lead but didn't think about what happens when the appliances need replaced and there's no hole big enough for removing the old plug/threading through the new one  New freezer arriving this weekend though (if we can find a way to plug it in, we can have some ice cream ;D )

Can you unwire the plug, thread it through and re-wire? Just an idea - also, how annoying!

That was my plan - just cutting the wire off the old one and rewiring the plug for the new one but you can't remove the plugs on major appliances. Looks like it will be a drilling job to make a hole but they've built a socket into the backboard of the cupboard and we can't see what's behind it/where the wires are.

I was pissed off today, with my cat pissing everywhere. Off to the vets Wednesday (first slot with a vet who can deal with her as she's super poorly and everyone just wants to euthanise her) to fingers crossed for us!
