This morning was meant to be an annual leave half day!

Woke up this morning to no heating and no hot water. So been on the phone with my employer, the landlord and the heating engineer, trying to investigage why...It's freezing today as well. Engineer came out to confirm no oil (it's a tank that feeds my flat and the employer's house) and we would have to order oil, but once it arrived we would not have instant heating as engineer would have to return to do drain something off before we could switch anything on. Told employer we could only get oil delivery on Wed but would have to wait for engineer to see if he could come out that day. Employer worrying as they are home that evening with their children staying. Had to ring oil co again and ask if they could do anything and come tomorrow instead, agreed when offered an incentive. Just need to make sure engineer can come out either tomorrow or Wednesday now. Of course oil co could not give a time for the delivery so will be hanging around waiting tomorrow not daring to go out. It's freezing in this flat....it's a large room and i luckily have a tiny portable radiator which is not much use really other than the fronts of my legs are warmish. Also have the dog cuddled up next to me... Apparently the 600 litre oil delivery last time should have been 600 gallons...no wonder it didn't last...not my fault as I didn't even realise we had oil heating so someone else must have organised it...

Making a special journey to Stratford on Avon to visit the Vodafone shop. I have a different iphone and wanted to use my current SIM only deal but it was not a case of simply changing sims as the new phone had a different sort of sim to the old one. Anyway the very helpful staff starting setting i all up for me and it all seemed unbelievably easy until they told me the phone was locked to O2. My bf had told me he had done this and has been on at me for ages to go and get this sorted so i rang him, he still reckoned he'd got it unlocked but Vodafone store said it was still locked. So i was advised to go to a shop round the corner where they could unlock it that day and I could bring it back to the store. Got to the shop round the corner where was told that because it is an iphone it takes five to ten days so i will have to wait until i hear from them. It was also £35 to do this. Of course it had to be in cash which meant going off again and finding a cashpoint as i only had a card FFS!! Was a bit furious with the bf...although he was adamant he had unlocked it....

  Client just sent me an incredibly insulting email and expects me to help him. I must add I didn't do anything to warrant it at all. Thank goodness I'm not employed and can tell him where to go 8)

This is why I stopped working retail [member=3120]Falanouc[/member] - I have a tendency to tell knobs that they are knobs and it never went down well, so glad things are different now. What a shame to lose a client BUT no-one should put up with shit!

Having to spend a special £2. I love unique coins. Today I got a William Shakespeare one and one that I can't even find a year for. But unfortunately only had that one me and I'd ordered food so couldn't cancel by the time I realised how special the coin was. i HOPE i DON'T HAVE TO spend anymore of my special coins!

I know right. COULDN'T BELieve it when I heard it on the news today :( and I don't even support Leicester. Even Alan Pardew being sacked and replace by Allerdice despite what he (Allerdice)did before.

Flipping roofers! We had a leak through the ceiling of a bedroom, went up in the loft and could see daylight along part of the ridge. Called out the roofers and they came and fixed it. We asked them to check to make sure the rest of it was ok, they said yep, just a little cracked mortar which would needed repointing in a few years. In the rain last week, water poured through again. We went back into the loft and went right to the back this time. We can see daylight all the way along the ridge and one tile has no mortar at all under it. Rang them and told them that they had missed it and they are claiming that there was nothing wrong when they left and that we have to pay full whack for another repair! They are coming out tomorrow to give us an estimate for the 'new' work. They are going to get the sharp edge of my tongue.

Poor you [member=224]Topaz[/member]

My Mum's boyfriend has had some leaking water (running down walls, into plug sockets et) anyway it's been ongoing for a few days and this week the plumber has only gone and fallen through his ceiling.

Fortunately he rents and thus it is all covered but he has only moved in a couple of weeks ago!

Oh blimey [member=920]katykicker[/member] that's not good! I hope that the damage gets put right quickly for them and that he wasn't hurt!
We're going to have to completely redecorate that room now because of the water damage! Luckily it was my daughter's room and she moved out a few weeks ago, so at least she doesn't have to sleep in there with the water dripping through the ceiling when it rains!

These sort of things are just so frustrating aren't they as you're on edge just waiting for it to get worse. I had roof problems a few years back now and my Housing Association told me 'until it actually comes through the ceiling we won't come out'... Despite the fact a huge water mark had appeared. ::) ::)

I often feel the same way. I've been a member since 2011 and still not won but I want my £30 earned in bonus money (even if it is just from a £5 or £10 win) ::)

I need to make a decision whether to continue with the free lotteries. I have never heard anyone winning the Slefie Lottery, the Lucky Patch lottery (are they cons) and the Free Postcode lottery has very low chances too. Currently I cant make up my mind...
