I've just walked 3 miles to my daughter's and back again. I am now dripping wet! T'is hot out there. Why did it seem a good idea to put a casserole in the slow cooker this morning? Salad would've been better lol.

Just thought I'd share this.

I bought an artists brush on ebay this week. Just went for the cheapest one, £1.25, free P&P.
After ordering I got a message from the seller. "Please order a second brush, as detailed in the item description you need to order at least 2 to get free P&P"

I checked through their description, and it said no such thing. So as I felt like being an arse I emailed bak to say there was so mention of a minimum order in the description and even if there was it is against ebay's T&Cs to list an item as free postage and then impose additional conditions within the description to qualify for it. So please send me my brush, as I only need one.

No response for a few hours followed by the normal your item has been despatched email.

Next day the brush arrived. I opened the package and the brush had been snapped in three pieces!
Surely the seller wasn't so upset with me that they risked their feedback by breaking up the brush in a rage and sending me the broken pieces? Then again I can't see how a paintbrush can get broken in the post.

The stupid thing is he sent it first class! Why not send it second class if he wanted to save some money. I wouldn't have minded waiting one or two extra days.

Anyway, I can actually glue the bits together and it will be fine. so decided not to make any complaint as I'm not really in the mood for an argument. I just find it a bit weird.

Your life will be better taking this course of action.

Add them to your blocked bidder list, I'm not sure if you can blacklist a seller.

And, seeing as you are on ebay anyway, report his messages to customer services to say he is going against the principles of eBay by adding additional conditions to items after you've purchased.

Then make a cup of tea and get on with your day.

:)

Airlines, or more so Virgin Atlantic

We've had to move out Nov 2019 flights to Orlando from Manchester to Sept 2020

Holiday insurance won't payout for this move so it's got to come out of cash

If I cancel the flights I will just get back taxes etc. so naff all really

If I move the flights to Sept I have got to pay £150 per person + price difference

The September flights aren't on there yet for our new dates and won't be until late October which means I will just have days to move these flights which means I can't hang around and wait for a sale or for prices to stabilise

I'm totally snookered in every direction on this one!!

Well, what a turn up for the books from above

This morning I got an email from Virgin Atlantic saying my return flight had been moved by an hour and a half which takes the total time changes from when I booked it to 3+ hours and because of this I have now been able to cancel the flights and get a full refund!

Which means I can book again for Sept2020 without a £150 charge per person to move the seats and I can wait for a seat sale to come before I buy them!!

I won't be playing chicken with Virgin Atlantic again lol

If I had rung up this weekend and the flights hadn't been delayed I would have been paying all the above

Those 'fees and charges' in airlines are nuts. I know with Ryanair and the like you expect it but when you drop £1000 on larger airlines it's a shame all that has to exist as well!

I emailed a marina (I found their contact details on their website) to ask if I could view boats they had on sale (I had seen them through the fence). Two days later... I received an out of the office message... saying 'I will be back on July the xth'. Really? I think I will have to drop in just to view the boats (there's no way I am viewing a boat in a rush, even if I am not qualified as a surveyor!)

Nearly Black Friday Week!!
Is it time to hibernate yet! tee hee!!
Hello. I'm still here lurking around :)
Hello.
I know I have been gone for a while and many of you will be wondering why I've been so quiet.

Some of you are aware, due to circumstances of what has been going on, but now it's time to let everyone know.

Back at the end of September I was diagnosed with metaplastic breast cancer. I've had such a whirlwind that I haven't really been able to take it all in. I was told I would need surgery, then Chemo and the
74 days till Christmas!
