Two things have annoyed me - I spilt some coffee on my mobile phone and it won't charge up - I've bought a new (to me) one - it's 2nd hand of course. I'm annoyed with myself over that. When I was in town I called in at the physical job centre which mostly seemed to be giving out advice leaflets how folk can get help - not saying they aren't needed, times are tough - but I thought the idea of a job centre was to help people get jobs. The gentleman there pointed me in the direction of the relevant website!

Your town has a physical job centre? That is quite the rarity these days. Do people still have to sign on every two weeks? I've wondered how you're supposed to do that when there isn't one in a ten mile radius anymore.

Homie, the Jobcentre has moved at sometime from a dedicated building to sharing space in a Council building so it's relatively small. I didn't see anyone signing on but I wasn't there all that long.

If the house electrics haven't been touched since 1971 then the whole thing probably needs re-wiring. Switch gear will wear out over time so its likely over sockets and light switches will need attention soon too.

Does it still have the old type fuse board with the pull out fuses?
Not sure. Present one was put in circa 1982 and I think there have been new types of fuse boards have been installed since.

Sorry to hear that must be rough :( Tougher climate with higher bills. Just a bit of luck energy bills started coming down a bit.

Sorry to hear of Nathan's bad news.

I can't remember whether I mentioned before but I've been discharged from hospital to a care home in South Staffordshire* for respite care. I have various forms to fill in.

What annoyed me was that a few nights ago a reading on the App job came in from Neevo/Defined Crowd. I thought that was something I could do on the mobile phone (not got my laptop with me). Then someone down the corridor kicked off shouting and of course you need peace and quiet for reading jobs. Still, I suppose if someone has a nightmare (or whatever occasioned the shouting) it's not their fault. I could have shut the door but although I'm somewhat mobile with a walker I'm not sure if I'd have been able to open the door again by myself.

*I'm from mid-Staffs and would have liked somewhere nearer my home area but this was where there was a vacancy. The staff are nice I have to be fair.
