Virgin Media - one of their engineers damaged the cable box on the outside of the house and didn't replace it. Just spent 48 minutes trying to explain to an Indian call centre bloke what box I meant. You understand, right? You know, the brown plastic one that covers the cables, the one that is screwed to the outside wall of the house - its not difficult. But he didn't understand at at all. Eventually after being on hold for half an hour, he quoted £99! Told him I would not pay, as it was their engineer that broke it and would change provider and hey presto it became free. But why the hassle?

Its the same dance for everything with TV companies. Sky are the same...Charge you until you threaten to leave and then magically its free.

God ain't that the truth.

It's so exhausting having to 'play the game' every 18 months going through to retentions

The worst of it was that they were connecting next door, nothing to do with our broadband, and opened our box to put a spur through to theirs until the engineer could do it properly. Our daughter was here on her own and they just knocked and told her that the internet would go off for a while, but didn't explain why. I came home to find the box broken and a cable from our box into next door and no engineers in sight. Had to go out for ten minutes and that was the time that they came back, took off the spur and skedaddled!
I was going to do the 'I'm paying too much, what are you going to do about it' convo once I'd got the box sorted, but I had lost the will to live by then!

Ahh that's so annoying for you! I can't survive without the internet. I'm pretty sure I'd just sleep all day!

Having to spend half of my weekend (again) de-nitting my daughters hair. See,s to have been constant since she went back in September. Serves me right for bragging over the big holidays we had made it through most of primary school without her getting them I suppose.

Trying the sort out an unaffordable, straightforward, line rental/broadband/TV package for my parents (in their late 70's).

My other half. I've cooked cleaned done shit loads, made massive pan of cawl for extended family. I'm going through a hard time after losing my mum 2 days before Christmas. Get asked why I'm tired and not to happy ATM. When I say I work do things and I'm missing my mum, get the reply of well if your not happy do something about it. Fucking cheers for the sympathy.
All the times I was strong for her, when her dad passed. Sick of being there for others with shoulders that can carry the weight of the world and getting no help back...
...except for you guys and girls of course.

Sorry for the moan. I'm am struggling and having it rough. I'm here for all my friends and family but seem to be forgotten when I need help. To be honest I haven't even had a chance to cry or have a moment to grieve for mum.
