Loving the journey of creating videos, still a lot to learn. Hope to get back to travelling next year.
Thanks Andy - all from the YouTube Audio Library (linked below). It can take a while to find the right piece but some of it isn't bad at all (not all mind)Nice video, stylish. Where are you getting the background music?

Thanks for the comment and like, all footage in the video is stock through the Wevideo film editor and music Epidemic Sounds.Just taken a look at your latest vid - Canary Islands (Tenerife Holiday Guide 2021). You've got some great footage so bloody good job and got a like from me!!!
I have to ask - is the aerial stuff stock footage or are do you have your own drone (I'd love one but my wife reckons I would break or lose it in 5 minutes so won't sign the chit).
Nice video. Made me miss London a little bit actually.I will continue with a simple format until the next sping.
Nicely done!! Have you checked the average view time of your previous videos. I found a relatively high drop off rate on the longer videos so have focussed more on shorter videos as a result (with no improvement in overall channel performance though so shows what I know). I'd check the stats and make a decision based on that (balanced with the fact it's less work to create a shorter video).Any of you creators tried #shorts videos on YouTube. Will be interesting to see the results.
Meanwhile, I am trying to be consistent with uploading one full video a week.
I always think short-form content will win out you knowNicely done!! Have you checked the average view time of your previous videos. unless it's a creator I like or the content is REALLY interesting to me I prefer my youtube stuff to be short and snappy!
I have only done two shorts in vertical format video for less than 60 seconds. One was video, text, and music, which never got any views on the short's shelf. The other was a video with me talking, text, and music. Got nearly 400 views in three days and increased my subscriber count. Here the link.Nicely done!! I've often wondered that.My two latest videos. Anybody any ideas on good places to try and drive vies and promote a channel?
Hi Jon - I know the YouTube forum is nowhere near as active but shouldn't we have a thread somewhere on here to keep a record of posters YT channels in one place similar to the one in place for blogs?I've often wondered that.
I would hazard a guess that it's a mixture of social media promoting + perhaps creating a blog alongside the content to give people more long-form content based around the videos
Go got it!Hi Jon - I know the YouTube forum is nowhere near as active but shouldn't we have a thread somewhere on here to keep a record of posters YT channels in one place similar to the one in place for blogs?
It would be for channels only, no discussion and might be useful place to see who might be able to help with general video/channel management etc.
I'm happy to set one up and maintain if the following would work - an opening post that was updated with a list of channels from all the replies posted with details.
What do you think?
