I made more money out of gold than any other investment I've ever held. Sold most of it now but I'd still rather have some sovereigns under the mattress than a USB stick full of bitcoins.
I don't have any bitcoins. I do have gold, but not sure it's worth much these days :) Or at least not going up much.

Sorry - it was an 'in' joke from TMS about a year ago....

I am wondering if anyone ever won anything from the surveys that some retailers ask you to do on their receipts, the customers' satisfaction ones. I do them now and again but thought it could be a huge waste of time. If anyone has won though I'd be more inclined to continue doing those.

I don't think I have, but I'm not 100% sure - there's something niggling at the back of my mind that I did win from one years ago.
Somebody has got to win them, and if you don't enter, you can be sure that it won't be you ;)

Yes true. But I am a bit cynical and think they might be no winners at all and they just advertise themselves with these prize draws. But if someone testify they have actually won, Id be more trusting.

I agree, for example, the morrisons ones I used to do each and every month but then if you think that whatever percentage of all the people that go to morrisons do the survey, then the odds must be really really slim!?

To be honest, I thought not many people bother with those... but I don't know indeed.

I won £10.00 in love to shop vouchers from the Post office survey daily draw today. It is the second time I have won this.

This is the one
you can buy one bottle for like £15 and while its only 50cl it's LOVELY!!
That actually looks really yummy. I'm not a massive rum drinker but looks like it would appeal to me....quite sure my OH would finish it off if I had any issues, lol.

"Won" might be the wrong word.

I went to a drinks tasting event (blog post coming soon) and one of the drinks they had was this.

https://amzn.to/2u9tLnb

It retails at about £35-40 a bottle. Amazon had it up for £34.99 for 6 x 50cl. Of course, they only delivered 1 bottle not six. I contacted customer services who said they'd order another 1 x the item but I explained I think they'd only send me 1 again and not 6 so I just wanted a refund and I'd return the bottle.

They gave me a refund and told me I didn't need to return it!

Shame it tastes dreadful!

:D
