So I've just signed up to this site and was wondering if anyone who has been using it awhile could answer a couple of questions for me please.

How long do they take to approve a test roughly?

Do I have to talk and explain what I'm doing all the time? The first test I did was actually a survey and I didn't realize that was the actual task so I wasn't talking. I thought the test would come after the survey. So I was wondering how strict they are with approving the tests, like if its self explanatory do I still have to talk? It felt a bit unnatural.

How many tests a day do you usually get?

And does anyone have any advice or tips for a newbie to the site?

it's been YEARS since I did anything WhatUsersDo related (and even longer since I joined!) but

From memory when I signed up I had to review a website and record my thoughts on it in terms of design/functionality.

I used to get a good number of test a week which were a mixture of both desktop and mobile sites they wanted reviews doing for.

I would literally vocalise everything so 'I liked the way the menu bar was at the top of the page here' etc.

I do what users do a lot. I get one or two job invites a day but I don’t suit all of them or I’m not at home. You can set your working hours, but I generally don’t sit on my computer waiting for them to email.
First month with them I earned £35 second month £80. Yeah you have to constantly think out loud, but it does get easier and the instructions are clear. Some jobs take longer than others but the £5 jobs are 5-20 minutes of your time.
All jobs done before the 25th of the month are paid the 25th of the next month. The team are lovely and once you do a few tests for them you get bigger paying jobs when they have them. You couldn’t live off whatusersdo but it’s good money for easy work.

Aye, like @Pen says just try and be a natural at it and just 'say what you see!' and you will soon get into the swing of it!

Thats great thanks for the info and advice @Jon and @Pen . I've done a few more tests now and I think I'm getting used to it.
