What's the quickest way to convert 450 physical photos to digital?

So I have this mountain to climb where I have around 250 odd photos that need to be scanned in 'somehow' and converted to digital.

I could send them off for 10p which would then cost £45+ P&P to get it done

I could use a traditional scanner and do it one by one

I could use one of the many smartphone apps out there which can take a snap of traditional photos and bring them into the digital realm.

Has anyone else had to do something like this and if so how did they do it without going crazy doing them 1 by 1?

You can get scanners that do this, but they aint cheap... about £150-£200 good if you have thousands to do, but not for a couple of hundred..Plustek Ephoto is great.. takes about 4 seconds per photo... you could have a look on Fat Llama and maybe find something on there for a few quid a day?

That plustek device looks just the ticket! Maybe I could buy it from Amazon, do it all in 3 days, and then return the item to Amazon lol

I have a business scanner with automatic document feeder thought it wouldn't take 250 pictures at once, I think it can be done in 10 bundles 25 times.
I'll check if it does photo sizes. Are they 4" by 6"?

So I’ve started this project today and have been using Google Photoscan

PhotoScan by Google Photos by Google LLC
https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/photoscan-by-google-photos/id1165525994?mt=8

Available on Android as well!

Each photo is taking maybe 4-5 seconds to do. It detects the border of the physical photo and most importantly gets rid of any glare due to using your phone to “scan” the photo with the flash on.

Quality it outputs is absolutely amazing!
