Random question, but I was wondering about the websites/apps that you no longer use because it just doesn't *work* for you.

For me:
1. Dramatically cut back on the surveys I do. I only do Prolific Academic now.
2. Neobux. It just wasn't worth the mere pennies I was earning.
3. MobileXpressions. I kept it for the first £5 Amazon voucher, but it really slowed down my phone connection.
4. Spare5...I've kept it, but I don't do many tasks as there are never any available.
5. ClixSense...I go on about once every 6-8 weeks once the offers have all refreshed. Otherwise I was clicking through offers and wasting time looking for something to do and not actually earning anything.
6. InstaGC - I've built up a really good referral network, so they earn the points for me. When I'm close to a voucher I might do a few videos, but that's about it.
7. Bubblews...I don't think this needs explaining.
8. Streetbees. Despite being able to cover a massive area, including Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Norfolk (and that's just on my drive home!) I've only ever qualified for one job, an hour away from me. I then had a personal text asking me if I was still planning on completing the job, which I found to be a total invasion of privacy, so I didn't bother.

These are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

Well let's see. I have given up on a few sites.

Neobux - Not worth it too little. Rented referrals too unpredictable and inactive clicks too low. Offers don't get credited for 30 days whereas Clixsense straightaway. Prefer to stick to and cash out at one site and Clixsense is much better can earn more and a nicer site to use overall.
Survey network- - too slow prefer to do surveys elsewhere
InstaGC - Too many similar offers to Swagbucks and Clixsense and find it easier navigation wise to use Swagbucks and Clixsense.

When i first got into all of this I signed up to loads, many which I have abandoned now. I have abandoned Clixsense, swagbucks, uniquerewards, inboxpounds, in favour of InstaGC and a couple of survey sites.

I no longer use textbroker or clickworker because I can't seem to make them pay me decently per hour.

I signed up to all the apps such as Roamler, Field Agent etc, and Mystery Shopping sites, but not sure if they are for me. I live in a village, no car, and not one for being out shopping apart from the essentials.

Bubblews here too. I made nearly £300 on there in about a month at its height but then it crashed and burned. I had a look yesterday and the posts were earning pennies.

Swagbucks, Valued Opinions, most survey sites, fivesquid ect. They were good as a starting point but not for me anymore.

I actually think it's perfectly natural to give up on websites / companies when doing all this stuff

You go in with the 'splatter gun' approach and sign up to everything, find what works for you and gives you the best return for the amount of time you are spending on the work and then tend to stay with those until something new comes around or you get introduced to a new opportunity you didn't know about.

Im going hard with MShopping as there seems to be a lot around down my way and for good money, Field Agent, Roamler, Clic and Walk, a couple of survey sites, a few hours a week on Adultwork- any more than that and it becomes demoralising. I fill in the rest with a bit of wheelin'n'dealin'- nothing exciting, just things I find on my travels I know will sell well on ebay.

Most survey sites - I've not done these in years as they don't earn enough to bother. I've started to use Prolific Academic as part of my XB1 fund raising project, but only because I get the emails pretty regularly.

Streetspotr - Never seen anything good on this app and the app itself is terrible. I've also got issues with the company completely ignoring my emails so I considered them a poor man's FA.

Spare 5 - This was great but now has hardly any tasks.

Mystery shopping - A good option but a lot of effort if you're earning enough from other sources.

True. If I think back to when I first started to earn money online I joined so many sites and over the years have weeded out the ones that are not worth it or I don't find easy to earn from.
It is good to have a good sort out every so often and get rid of those that are not worth the time and effort. Better to have a few good core sites that you earn well from rather than spreading yourself out too thinly.
Now I am very selective and though I have joined a few survey sites I have only stuck with the ones that are worth it for me.

Bubblews - I did a review of this site and why it would be frustrating for people. Payments take an average of 45 days and there's no quality control with posting.

Ezine Articles - Use to rank well with Google, but now a waste of time because of the algorithm changes and loss of keyword and site ranking with the site.

Squidoo - Use to be a good place for affiliates to park their offers and build lenses, but again, the Google changes ruined this business. Now in the hands of HubPages.

I joined CGP Gallery at the beginning of the year but it looks as though it's a scam as no one has been paid. I have earned the necessary $20 in order to cash out but I am sure I won't be getting it so am not wasting time on there anymore.

I've given up on Appen crowdsourcing as the tasks are thin on the ground and I don't like doing the adult ones. It's not so much the content, it's the damn pop ups and the virus threats etc.

Sites like Roamler, Field agent etc, don't work for me because, just like Twiggy, I live in a village and don't drive so they have usually been taken by the time I can actually do them.

Right now I am loving Prolific Academic, Whatusersdo (although I miss more than I get to do, or don't fit the demographic at the last minute), OnePulse, VoxPopMe and Spare 5 (when it has tasks!).

I gave up on Valued Opinions due to their lack of customer service. I spent ages doing surveys trying to accumulate enough to redeem (contending with numerous surveys getting to 70% completed then it saying I didn't qualify). Finally saved up enough for an Argos voucher. Went to Argos, the girl on the checkout couldn't redeem the code, called Head Office who said they'd never heard of Valued Opinions. Raised the issue with Valued Opinions to be told it was all my own fault. Quit there & then.
I still use Marketforce intermittently as their pay can be quite good (£28 just for taking my car for a valuation at WeBuyAnyCar) but there's a shortage of assignments in my area.

I'm still plugging away at trying to sort the what from the chaff with survey sites, but I've given up on Toluna. I get more invites from them than any other site but I screen out from a high percentage of those. They let it go way too far before screening out and I find it demoralising that I have to earn about a million points before I can cash out!

Getting close to binning MySurvey aswell, as I'm having some issues with the site and they don't seem to want to help me out with it.

Thank you for posting that link Katykicker :), it doesn't seem to be the same issue as I'm having though. Every time I try to complete a survey it keeps redirecting me to the US version of the site and not loading the survey at all. They have suggested I try a different browser, clear internet history/cookies, etc. all of which have made no difference. Haven't found their customer service to be all that helpful to be honest, they seem to be too focussed on closing the issue without caring about whether it is actually resolved or not! It's a shame as I have 5 or 6 surveys sitting there waiting for me to do and I think the site could be a decent earner if I can sort this issue out!

Ahh that's a new one on me I've got a stuck survey that just takes me back to the site and says there was an error. It's been there for weeks annoying me - especially as I know it's worth 250 points!

I don't know if I've said here what sites ive given up. Mostly just Toluna, Neobux and focus line surveys.

Sad to add Global Test Market to my list. It's always been a good earner but the mix of awful customer service, getting screened out of surveys at the very last minute and some previous issues with the 'Popcorn' panel and a cheque arriving water damaged, has just been made worse by them reducing the costs per survey by about 1/4.

Previously stopped using Toluna, Ipoll, Opinion Outpost, been banned without explanation by Irazoo, and banned by Rewarding Ways who claimed I was using a proxy server  No big losses. I did like Roamler but too little jobs and too many users.
