The market is just totally saturation I think

HOWEVER the community for those blogs seem to be very supportive of other women

I wouldn't have a clue.

I'm not a Mum and those lifestyle bloggers mostly just make my OCD flare up so I try and avoid. Too much perfection :)

Less chance of getting sponsored posts if you talk about the truth

better to just talk about your little miracles or precious times or the worst one I saw, that bleated on about 'mummy moments' the entire time

Actually now I think about it I do know a Mum website or two. The best Mum ones that I have seen are the ones that speak the truth (Or what I presume is the truth what with not bearing a child and all!)

I follow a Facebook page, Stay at Home Mum Australia (can't remember why I started following them as I'm not a Mum or an Aussie) but they post some fun articles such as these:

https://www.stayathomemum.com.au/my-kids/parenting-style/53-things-you-swear-youd-never-do-before-having-kids/
https://www.stayathomemum.com.au/guest-blogs/bruce-devereaux/ten-things-ive-learned-about-housework/
*Note this post talks about dirty toilets (it's an article from a man's point of view) so might not be something to read if eating your dinner*
https://www.stayathomemum.com.au/houseandhome/forty-ways-to-procrastinate-instead-of-doing-housework/

Some of the articles are actually quite educating... My particular favourite was the one that told me how to make it look like I had been cleaning my home all afternoon in about 10 minutes. It involved running the washing machine, dishwasher, jogging on the spot for two minutes before my husband got home while vacuuming. Sounds mad but just for a laugh I tried it and when he got in he was like wow looks good in here. Made me realise if I just did chores for 15-20 minutes before he got home after his shift it would mostly stay spotless and he would think wow what a woman ;) (This is a tongue in cheek post).

I'm a mum and I don't read mummy bloggers! So dull. Unless they have an angle then it's tedious reading, I have no desire to read about little Johnny's potty training and what a wonderful day they had with Tabitha and Araminta at the park. ::)

A girl called Jack is a mum and a blogger but the reason she's successful is that her blog had a definite angle and purpose - cheap family eats.

I can't stand her (Jack I mean). She accused David Cameron of capitalising on the death of her son but felt it was perfectly acceptable to put her own child into her blog and talk about him all the time when they were poor.

I think the phrase was 'uses stories about his dead son as misty-eyed rhetoric to legitimise selling our NHS to his friends.' Regardless of whether or not you disagree with David Cameron I don't think it is fair to say that about anyone who has had a child who died. I don't believe any parent who loses a child would think of how it could benefit their career, or their life, for a single second.

I'm glad Sainsburys dropped her over it too :)

Shame she was so rude as her recipes were good and useful.

I've never read her blog and am not a particular fan of her politics - but she is an example of a successful "mummy blogger" who has found her niche and exploited it. There are a lot of people out there who haven't a clue what to feed their kids and if you leave aside all the political "nasty Conservatives who stopped my benefits leaving me with 26p a week" stuff, there are some good recipes out there which are nutritious and cheap.

Man, when I was off at the start of the year with Flu THIS was on This Morning

http://www.itv.com/thismorning/hot-topics/i-breastfeed-my-six-year-old-child

She runs a blog and ploughs it with pictures of her children all being breastfed at that age

I laughed out loud at that and had to explain to my husband and then I showed him the photo.

He said 'but they're six years old why are they still breast feeding'. Beats me :D HAHA

Now he's asking me breastfeeding questions, like when do you normally stop etc.

I'm not one to judge someone else for breastfeeding usually but Jesus Christ 6 is a bit much!!

In my probably very limited view beauty blogs seem to be just as popular as mummy blogs at the moment

Oh I could not agree more. It is a akin to "I have had a cup of tea" posts on facebook.

I don't know if they count as the traditional "mummy" blogs but I read the ones where they have ideas of what to do with young children - sensory activities, simple make and do's etc. The kind of stuff that's plastered all over Pinterest :D

My daughter - age 12 - used to adore zoella, macbarbie and all of them but seems to have lost interest a bit now her current favourite is superwoman on YouTube she's really funny she makes us cry with laughter.

I love slummysinglemumy she really makes me laugh.

A girl called jack has been known to make me cry.

I remember that how not to really clean the house but just make it look like you've cleaned the house advice at one time it was quite the thing and everyone was coming up with new ways to do it so funny when you think back now why not just do a bit of cleaning and have done with it :D

Definitely not a problem in my house. When your home is spotless most of the time it can be easy for someone else to walk in and wonder what you've done all day. Nevermind that you've been working, baking, filling your freezer, visiting sick relatives etc :)

I used to have an obsession and spend hours some days doing things over and over, so I've had to learn ways to cut back a little and still have a home that makes me feel good :)
