Interested to read about people who actually are happy at the moment with their Financial state. We hear about so many people struggling at the moment, but I do believe there are people out there who are not mega rich, who are happy with their lot and are not struggling. Yes, I am Frugal and like to think I am good with managing my money. I work part time, and am on an average wage. I have done odd mini side hustles to earn some extra pocket money during the month. I would say, I am pretty happy with my lot.

That's good to hear. Yes I'm fairly happy with my life now. I have a few minor health issues but I'm generally okay. I've just retired after taking my private pension & may look to do some freelance work again at some point but, I'm just enjoying my free time at the moment. I'm not well off by any means however, I have enough to do most of the things I enjoy.

Hi, It is nice to hear from someone who feels they are doing okay too and life is not all doom and gloom. I do think it is possible to ride the waves so long as you are sensible with your spending and apply simple rules to budgeting. My partner took early retirement last year, and I hope to in 3-4 years time too.

I still keep a tight budget & make allowances for when I want to spend a bit extra on something that I need or want. I've also put some money away in case I need it for an emergency. I'm really grateful that I am in a position to do so.

Winning? No. Probably feel more like I'm playing out a 0-0 draw.

Minimum wage job (although my employer always gives us a pay rise in September to make us think how great they are then the minimum wage just catches up with it again in April)
Some savings and investments plus a small extra few quid from matched betting and surveys gets me by.

I should do more but I am lazy

I think we are doing alright in life and can't but no doubt will complain! I think the cost of living is a real problem for many especially those who have to pay rent, it isn't easy. When I hear what people are asked for, it's eye-watering and I can't see how it is sustainable or good for society.

Annoyingly a lot of online side hustles seem to be drying up, not sure if this is due to AI or not, and there isn't much new on the horizon. Haven't found any suitable part-time work but I am being fussy at the moment. Have fallen back on my frugal habits to make up for lost income lately.

It’s great to see someone content with their situation. I’ve been in a similar boat—working part-time and doing a few side hustles like selling vintage stuff online or offering freelance services. It’s not about being mega rich but finding joy in the little things and managing what you have. I’ve learned that budgeting and focusing on experiences rather than things can really boost your happiness.
