Curious how people come up with their usernames, I always find it really difficult...

What's the story behind yours?

Mines pretty simple, just my name (Terri) with 2 i's and x's

Because it's my birth stone and I also because I used to keep Topaz coloured rats. My user name on a lot of other sites is Topazrat, for that reason.

I've just change my avatar to show one of my Topaz beauties, Merlin :)

I am not really skinny lol

I honestly just picked the first thing that I could think of, I didn't imagine I would have contributed and stuck around all this time!

Cascot is my nickname, both bits short from my name. So easy for me to remember.

Simple answer, yeah I always had to be careful putting my daughters DOB or anything that could be misconstrued as a year because people would either just block me (if the year led to an age that wasn't allowed on the site) or they'd treat you like you were that age

Short, sweet and very simple :)

Heard of the author but never read anything of theirs, may have to look into that :)

They are sometimes the best names, the ones that are just a random object or thought..

[member=1020]Terriixx[/member] it's in a collection called The Birthday of the World. I love Changing Planes too (also short stories) but most people get hooked with the Earthsea trilogy. Left Hand of Darkness is good too.

I used to do salsa classes a few years back (around the time of Ricky Martin). One of the guys in the office started calling me RickyRaj!

I used the first 3 letters of my first, middle and last name. It kind of sounds like a word or a name for something so worked out well and it is now my token username for everything :)

I'm female, Scottish and short! Therefore the diminutive female version of Jock => Jockette ;)

It was a nickname given to me by an ex - lost for many years after we broke up then re-issued when I moved in with an old school friend (who knew me as Chammy at the time) and it's kinda stuck from there. 90% of the people I know call me Chammy more than Chermaine ;)

I have no idea, I just needed a nickname for something one day and was trying to get away from my old school nicknames so just made it up.

Not going to go too much into details, but, if your Scottish you would get it if I told you my (not actual) second name was "Ritchie" (Say the whole name together!!) :)
