I'm sure I'm missing something obvious.

I've registered with vidahost, deployed Wordpress and the sample blog is up on my site, but I have no idea what the Wordpress username and password are to change the theme and start adding content.

There's no email associated with the domain yet, I tried resetting the password linked to my email I set up vidahost with and it didn't recognise it, so what on earth is it?

you will have chosen the wordpress admin details when you setup wordpress in cpanel

If all else fails, delete Wordpress and reinstall, noting the username and password.

Setup? C-panel? I pressed install on the app page and magic happened

But c-panel seems like a good place to look for the admin details!

you mind find your admin details if you go into cpanel and then into wordpress again
but you really would have put them in when you setup wordpress

The app area won't display your password. They automatically generate the username and password when you install Wordpress.

they email it to the address you put in when you installed WordPress

Depending on how it installed. GoDaddy send me the username and email address used, not the password.

Maybe try your junk folder, OP?

That's the problem, I didn't put an address in, and when I tried to do the forgotten password link it doesn't recognise my email address, so it isn't the one I used when i set up vidahost.

Maybe I should kill it and try again.

That did it, I missed an info bar after setup was complete with the completely random username and password in, with the default email address being admin@mysite which I really ought to get set up but doesn't exist right now.

Now to pick a theme and get some content up.

you get an answer after raising a support ticket in usually 30mins

I remember I messed up a site once on a Sunday night then rolled it back to an earlier backup since I couldn't figure it out myself

I suspect I'll be using them a lot, I have a terrible habit of having a great idea, starting to implement it, and then realising halfway through that if really isn't going to work
