In my experience the people who are earning the big money from mlm £100k a year, £50 k a year are all people who have tried and failed to succeed with many other mlm businesses before they got to where they are now, so in other words people who have been in the industry a long, long time. By then I suppose they will have gathered together huge databases of potential new customers and team members. It is possible for newbies to get up to the £20k, £25k a year level but again these are always people with solid business and people management experience behind them in their past employment roles. And even then luck is a huge factor. You never know if people will buy your products or not. You never know what your team members are going to do next. You could sign up 10 people and they could all turn out to be good sellers who recruit their own downline teams - and earn some money. Or you could sign up 10 people who all do nothing - and earn nothing. And in fact make a loss as you have paid for their brochures and recruitment pack, not to mention your time and the cost of travelling to sign them up as your company requires you to do face to face appointments only. Or you could sign up 10 people who all order products then don't pay for them and go to debt, and then you end up owing the company money - in reclaimed commission! I read once that if you were choosing to join an mlm or buy a lottery ticket your chances of getting the money you put in back are greater if you go with the lottery ticket. So all in all, possibly not the best career choice for me when I decided to go full time with them! But I have lived and learned and come out the other side! These ads on Facebook telling people they can make lots of money 'playing around with make up and taking selfies' (Younique) are just so ridiculous. There is far more involved in running your own business than that. The truth is, you have to work very hard for every single sale, you will probably earn next to nothing for the first year if not the first few years and you will have to invest a lot of time and effort and yes even money if you are going to actually achieve anything. Plus when you sign up with an mlm company like Younique,, Avon etc instead of working independently then you are paying them for the privilege of trading under their name. And everything is geared up to them making more money than you. They are taking the lion's share of any money you make you are only getting a tiny fraction of it - because it's their brand, their products, their advertising, their recruitment materials etc and not yours and you are paying them for all of that. So bearing in mind that most new businesses fail within the first few years, and that's independent businesses, how much more likely are you to fail when most of your profits are not going into your own pockets but into someone else's pockets?
