No. I got the offer email first,then I had to sign something and the instructions came through the next day. Have you checked your junk folder?

Make sure you've answered/actioned all the emails you get. At one stage I thought I'd done everything, then realised I had to click on (yet) another link in an email. Once you've accepted it, I felt that the emails were automated in that as soon as I had done something, I got an email reply rather than having to wait for someone to check something.

Also don't forget to look at the info you have so send in to get payments.

Has anyone sat & worked out the best way to get paid (i.e. least charges)? I know I'd get charged by NatWest to receive foreign payments, so I'll probably go for PayPal. I hadn't heard of some of the other methods. My Paypal is so old it's a $ one anyway as £ ones weren't available.

I had the offer email, then the docs to sign, and then instructions on how to do the job. No job or contract id showing in oDesk though :(

I have actioned everything they've sent me, and chucked my junk folder.

Hopefully they'll get back to me soon.

Have you had the Team England email with the link to your session? It was only then I that I looked for my ID, although I had that email late at night & decided to read it properly in the morning & it was there, so I'm not sure if it was there when I received the email.

Yes - the Team England one with the link to do the job. No mention of a 'session' though. It ends with 'Go ahead and get started' so I assume they mean I should be able to do the job. Received it overnight last night, still no contract now.

I can't help any more then. The Team England (surely that should be UK) email has the pdf which tells you where your ID number is. If it isn't there, I'd email your contact.

I signed the contract on that little digital pad, then messaged her telling her I had done. Anyway, she replied saying to click accept offer. I was like "eh, I viewed the offer, it let me sign up, what's the issue". I went back to the email and opened it again, viewed offer, then realized I hadn't click "accept".

All sorted now :)

Queen81 - I had gone in and checked that and in oDesk all I had was 'view application' or 'withdraw application'.

They have now e-mailed me the offer to accept, and now I have the 'accept offer' button too. For some reason they had sent me the instructions and go ahead before the actual contract.

After 450 do you literally just stop? There didn't seem to be anywhere to 'submit' or anything so I just knocked the screen off. Hope that was fine.

Well that wasn't the end of my problems. The app for recording won't work on my android phone - no surprise there really as it didn't the last time I did a job like this either. At least I can do it on my laptop, but it just seems a shame given they prefer mobiles or tablets....

Oh i'm with you there all the way. MUCH prefer my laptop. I just think it's a bit daft when they say their preference is a phone or tablet, but yet the app won't work on so many of them.

I got to 490 (or there abouts) before it came up that my session had finished. I guess if you got any of the phrases wrong or they didn't record/upload properly you'll just get paid 5c less per 'missing' phrase.

I finally got in on this too. Got the links to sort. Will have to wait until my darlings are in bed to attempt fathoming it.

Still haven't got a microphone tho and I told them I'd use my phone. Speed of my laptop it will probably be better anyway...

By the way, I asked if I should end the contract in Odesk and she replied telling me I should wait in case I get offered more of the same - I hope that's helpful to some of you.

Glad so many of you have signed up for this. I have benefited from posts on here I feel so happy that I have been able to benefit others.
I have had an email still looking for people. Deadline is 1st Sept (no pressure then!!) But it took me about 40 ish mins. So really quick and easy task that is quite well paid.
