Hi guys,

I've started a new website that is based around viral news.

I'm looking for writers, the good thing about this project is you'll be able to write on pretty much anything you like.

The only requirements are that the post is longer than 300 words and that it is based on news that is trending on either FaceBook, Twitter or Google Trends.

I'm currently paying $1 per post or $1.50 if you wish to be paid via BTC.

I know this may not seem like a HUGE amount of money but it's a brand new website and right now I'm footing the bill out of my own pocket.

If and when the website picks up and more revenue is generated the prices will be increased.

Just thought I'd offer TMS members a more limited and unique way of making money that isn't mass advertised and right now is exclusive to the members of this website.

LMK if you're interested :)

300 words for $1 isn't going to get you many (if any) takers.

I know it's tough when you are paying for a site out of your own pocket but I found it far easier to just earn the money elsewhere and then reinvest it back into my site or project.

You might find it easier to just pay people on fiverr to write the content for you tbh

I've seen a few sites like this come and go over the years and they allowed anything and everything to be published (no restriction on topic). They were also paid per viewer/comment. They don't exist any more.

You're going to find it hard to get people for just $1 per post, there might be a couple of people here or there but I doubt any of the bloggers on here will use their time to get paid $1. For the existing bloggers on the forum, why write a post for your site when they could write it for theirs and get the traffic/ad revenue themselves?

I totally understand and respect the points raised.

In regards to websites coming and going, I have to disregard that. I'm well aware that viral news is a difficult and competitive niche but lets remember while there a hundreds of failures there are success' as well. Lad Bible, BuzzFeed, Metro just to name a few. All started relatively small or even as a one man band yet they are now huge successes. It's just like every other business out there, almost every industry and niche is saturated, it doesn't mean you can't make a success of it, if you're passionate and have time and dedication you can make anything work. Also I'm not just publishing anything and everything, it will be edited and have to meet a certain standard.

In regards to the payment, I am WELL aware it's a small amount and as stated it's simply an offer there people can take or refuse. There's so many sites out there that existed on a mass scale (postloop) that paid people significantly less. The fact people can post on pretty much any topic may also appeal to some people. Yes people can post on their own blog but not everyone has a viral news blog, it may not even be in their niche. I understand this website promotes higher paying gigs out there BUT so many people are either blogging and getting paid nothing at all or a couple of cents via adsense or doing things like swagbucks which for the time investment put in works out at a lot less than what I'm offering.

I understand to some this may not be appealing, heck I might get 0 takers, the offer is there though and money is money at the end of the day, no one is forced to take me up on the offer but for some people who blog on similar topics as a hobby and maybe get paid nothing or very little this stands as an offer where they can at least get something out of it.

All being said and done I really appreciate the feedback and hope I haven't caused offence to anyone.

I remember those sites. I used them because I enjoyed writing but they never really made me a lot. I hope that your website does well. If you do get to a point where you can offer substantially more for content, then let us know.
