I've got my laptop back. On Tuesday I was busy typing though it was a one-off sort of thing and I haven't invoiced for it yet. The GPT site Timebucks has changed its methodology lately. I used to be able to get about $5 a week - $10 on a good week but the microtasks they've had lately seem to be ones where the person running the campaign wants you to sign up for something or install something or a combination of both. I don't want to sign up for things willy-nilly when the reward is only a few cents. Anyway now I have my laptop back I can at least put out feelers for things. I'm letting Roamler and Shepper know I'm still around - my back still isn't 100% but I'm a lot better than I was this time last year.

I don't have much clue about KDP, Sian, but great if it works for you! It sounds like you struck lucky with your mother-in-law. I think the kind of mothers-in-law on Reddit's Just No Mother In Law are the minority fortunately - and some Reddit stories are fake I'm sure.
