I have no idea to be honest! I set it all up years ago when they made the switch to Payoneer and I don't remember exactly what I did, but I would have followed the instructions from Appen. I think I just had to set up the Payoneer account using the same email I use for Appen and then they sorted...
no because the money from Appen never actually stays in my Payoneer account. As soon as Appen pay me, it goes into Payoneer then instantly to my Paypal. But I can't see where this is set up in order to change it. It must have been something I set up originally when I created the Payoneer account...
I looked into that and it doesn't look like I can change the transfer method myself. I think it must have been set up for me by Appen when I first opened the Payoneer account. the money goes straight from Payoneer into Paypal the moment it hits my Payoneer account and I cant see any way to...
when I applied for an Appen project which needed a Windows Live ID there was a button to press to get the verification code sent to me as part of the application process.
Western Union isn't involved for me? I thought Appen only paid people via Payoneer now?
I set it up so that the money goes straight from Payoneer into Paypal when Appen changed to using Payoneer (I think this was some time ago - I can't remember doing it but it must have been what they...
I looked into this as I saw someone suggest it elsewhere, but it looks like Paypal have made it nigh on impossible for UK accounts to add Wise accounts now. Can I ask when you set it up?
Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but have any of you who work for Appen, or any other company that pays in USD, found a way to withdraw or convert your earnings without being hit by Paypal's awful currency conversion rates? or at least found a way to minimise the hit?
Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but as appen pay in USD does anyone know if there's any way to convert this to GBP before it gets to PayPal? I keep getting hit by PayPal's high conversion rates......
Re: Jon's Appen Work Factory! Come and Earn $16
Indeed - I was just making the assumption, given everything else is the same as when I've done it through Appen.
Re: Jon's Appen Work Factory! Come and Earn $16
I may have just been reading into it since I have done it for Appen before. It was the 'if you have already done the task, ignore this e-mail' bit which made me think it was the same as the last batch for Appen.
Re: Jon's Appen Work Factory! Come and Earn $16
Well last time I did it for Appen, they didn't want the same voice twice. And the e-mail I received from the lady contacting through oDesk this morning reminding us of the deadline seemed to suggest the same thing, although didn't say it...
Re: Work on oDesk: Native UK English Speakers Needed
Oh i'm with you there all the way. MUCH prefer my laptop. I just think it's a bit daft when they say their preference is a phone or tablet, but yet the app won't work on so many of them.
Re: Work on oDesk: Native UK English Speakers Needed
Well that wasn't the end of my problems. The app for recording won't work on my android phone - no surprise there really as it didn't the last time I did a job like this either. At least I can do it on my laptop, but it just seems a shame...
Re: Work on oDesk: Native UK English Speakers Needed
All sorted now :)
Queen81 - I had gone in and checked that and in oDesk all I had was 'view application' or 'withdraw application'.
They have now e-mailed me the offer to accept, and now I have the 'accept offer' button too. For some...
Re: Work on oDesk: Native UK English Speakers Needed
Yes - the Team England one with the link to do the job. No mention of a 'session' though. It ends with 'Go ahead and get started' so I assume they mean I should be able to do the job. Received it overnight last night, still no contract now.
