I've been to the Grand National a number of times and man alive that is one expensive day with minimum bets on the course around the £5/£10 level which you begrudge as it's not matched betting and is actually risking money lol

I live close to Aintree, yet have only been in 1968, and it was for a look around before the actual programme started.

I would say make sure you have at least £1000 in your exchange and money available in all your big bookies accounts. Last thing you want is to have to be withdrawing and switching around and miss a days racing waiting for the transfers to go through.

Ive booked the week off work

Last year I made £500-£600 in 4 days

Year before I think I hit £700

You basically need to feel confident with horse refund offers

So using Match Catcher if you're with PA to get a qualifying loss of a few pence and hoping you hit the refund.

In previous years William Hill etc have had offers about wagering £200 odd in bets in Feb on horses giving you yet MORE free bets to use during cheltenham.

Trust me, it's literally raining offers for 4 days straight! It's a great week! The likes of PA offer extended support hours as well over the phone to give you any help you might need.

£5-700 just from one festival. I am needing this in my life. Needing to make sure I have the Bankrolls ready for then

One example was SkyBet who had a money back if you don't win offer on the first race every day (a potential £80 in free bets). I seem to remember Ladbrokes having something similar on a selected race per day (that was £25 I think - so £100 in free bets). There were many others. Soon adds up.

Ahh i remember skybets free bet offer. Sure if 2 bookies do similar this year that could be a big chunk of profit from them. I guess its just making sure to catch all the offers when they come out and making sure you have enough in the kitties to cover them

Pa and I’m sure OM as well send our emails at 9am each morning during the festival detailing all the major offers however I remember day when a SUPER OFFER would appear out of nowhere and they would send out another communication around 11-12ish

You're going to want a LOT more than that. You are ideally going to want to have £1500ish to play with each day and even then you would be hoping your money ends up in the exchange after the first 3 races so you can do even more offers lol

I'm building up my bankroll now in the exchange but think I might miss out on a lot of Cheltenham offers. I start work at 8:15am and there is no way I can sneak off to place my bets, and I can't take annual leave either. Any decent events during school holidays?

Toilet break....what's one of them? Might need to teach the husband how to MB and get him to book annual leave instead. Although then he will know how much I've made....I've conveniently halved my profits so far...

Luckily I work from home so no boss sat watching everything i do

@maisiemog, in school holidays you've got Glorious Goodwood in August, which is less worthwhile than Chelts, and maybe the York Ebor in August.
If you start work at 08.15 maybe you could make a super early start (lifestyle permitting) or place some matched bets the evening before (if the T and C's allow that).
