After successfully completing a Recorded Telephone Task with Appen recently they have invited me to act as a recruiter, which basically means that I get paid a small amount if anyone signs up for the task via my ID number (pm me for further details, please).
Despite having problems getting some of the 'telephone pins' to work I found the task to be enjoyable and very amusing. Appen were quick to provide more pins and extended my deadline.
Where else can you have a laugh and chat away to family and friends AND GET PAID £45 TO DO SO?
You can ring up to 12 different people or even the same person 12 times (which is what I did - sorry Sis!).
My sister and I covered more topics in two evenings than we probably did in two years, ha ha! The worst bit was acting like we hadn't spoken for ages and saying 'hello' about four times until it connected properly.
The calls last between 4 - 5 minutes each, so will total around 2 - 3 hours. You will get 2 or 3 days to complete them all though, so do not worry. The calls are FREE, and you control when you want them to start.
Now for the boring but essential bits:
You must be a fluent speaker of English
You must have grown up or lived for more than 10 years in England
You must have access to a mobile and a landline phone.
In my case I had to use my mobile phone for a certain number of calls and the remainder on the landline phone. The person(s) I called did NOT need to have both though.
I know this has been posted before by TMS members but hopefully there are still one or two people out there who would love the chance to do this.
I will be happy to answer any queries - or ask Appen for any I may be unsure about.
