I was sorting through my drawers and have a large pile of US coins which I am unlikely to use and have been sat around for years. I never bothered exchanging them as I thought it probably wouldn't be worth it, but I do want to get rid of them. Anyone got any suggestions for best places to exchange or otherwise use them?!

Charity tin?

How much is there? I don't think Bureau* de Change accept coins. Could try ebay maybe.

There are websites that say they will buy them but you have to send them the coins first in blind faith and then they tell you how much they are willing to pay you for them. I don't like that sort of set up.

Probably the sort of thing that's best just given to a friend whos going to America for a holiday.

*Took me 4 tries to spell bureau before the spell checker would even recognise my attempts as a word
