IPSOS Telephone Interviewer - Work From Home

Has anyone here ever worked as an IPSOS telephone interviewer from home?
I had an interview on the phone today and tomorrow I am attending a virtual training day.
If I get through then I have to go and show my ID at one of their offices (1 in london, think another was in scotland and 1 more somewhere) and then I will be able to work from home

I'm quite curious about this and I hope it will work out.

Has anyone else done this or something similar?

I initially applied for a field interviewer role but as I had no car, they suggested this.

It will be interesting to cross over to the other side and be the interviewer

I turns out this is basically a cold calling job, not really what I was expecting, I might give this a miss...

That's a shame isn't it.

You see it quite a bit with amazing 'work from home' opportunities that you see listed on Gumtree which end up just being cold calling you can do from home ;(

I was very interested in something similar to this, but definitely don't want to be cold calling people and annoying them. There used to be a company that paid you for offering technical support for some of the big internet providers. I don't know if this is still an option.

Sorry off topic but this reminded many moons ago when I was in my teens I used to call people to check they'd received their yellow pages. People were nice because it was literally one question thanks and bye. It was a decent earner too, especially for a 15 year old! And it was a better deal than my friend who had to deliver the yellow pages (which were significantly bigger than they are now!)

I can't actually remember how much it paid but for me at the time it was a lot of money. I was 15 though so I might not think the same today! I used to do it on Sundays and after 1800 weekdays because I used my mums landline and calls were free to local numbers then
