Anyone worked for them?

They appear to have openings at the moment for UK people.

I have applied before but failed the entry exam but by all account it is quite a consistent income if you can get in.

Re: Leapforce

they are are pretty big, people in the US and around the world all seem to work for them.

I think you can only work for them for 11 months though but like I said it is steady income

Re: Leapforce

Is it similar to Lionbridge?

http://www.thesmartcrowd.com/workers/job-opportunities/country/united-kingdom/#jobs-list

I think you have to do an exam for this too - and they want you to be degree-educated or similar. Did you find the exam hard Jon? (I realise you won't want to go into too much detail)

I might investigate Lionbridge further (Leapforce insists on iOS/Android smartphone but one of the Lionbridge roles doesn't) - I'll post on here if I find out anything that might be helpful

yeah those two are much of the same in terms of the work they make you do.

I say go for it with Lionbridge, if you can pass the exam then well done. I think I found it because of just HOW much prep work you have to read through, think it was just too much effort for me to do to pass the exam..

Re: Leapforce / Lionbridge

Hi Lisa,

I have done Appen Work before. Stuff that I think probably ended up in a phone feature that is very much like Siri as it was all about translating actions into words.

It is quite hard going I found with them, they expect a lot of work for the money.

Fair play they paid out for what I did but not something I would want to revisit I think.

Re: Leapforce / Lionbridge

Thanks Jon and UKLisaW - great to hear first-hand opinions on this type of work.

Lisa - did you have to complete a certain number of hours per week for Lionbridge?

Re: Leapforce / Lionbridge

Thanks for that - I realise you can't disclose details

I'm still waiting to hear back from Lionbridge after receiving acknowledgement of my initial application, but I'm not in a desperate rush

Re: Leapforce / Lionbridge

yeah you are right.

Once you understand it for one company I imagine it is quite easy to shift to another doing the same thing.

Re: Leapforce / Lionbridge

I remember trying go sign up to one of these companies last year (or possibly the year before) and failed the exam too. Just couldn't get my head round what I was being asked to do I think.
