How is everyone dealing with getting the money out of PayPal (since Lionbridge pay us in US dollars) and don't we get stung for conversion fees at PayPal and for a bank withdrawal?

I did think about trying Transferwise, or is there a better way of withdrawing to a bank account? maybe Revolut? Monzo?

I just claim back the PayPal fees as an expense.
Thanks for the tip. I’m looking on PayPal now to try and find fees that I may have been charged, as I haven’t been keeping track of them. And I can’t find anything. Searched on Google and I don’t know if PayPal has removed the feature that used to give you that information?

For the sort of money you are earning I would seriously think about signing up with FreeAgent, xero, quickbooks etc. which will clock any of these sort of fees automatically for you and shove them into your expenses for the year :)

I have been withdrawing on a weekly basis and it’s $1 each time which I can cope with. For the amount of time it takes to do the ratings it’s still a very very decent amount of money in my opinion. It’s WM that take the fee as it tells you before you withdraw. The direct bank transfer charges more.

yay I’ve got the email to say my account had been opened and I can do the quiz, will have a look when I get home.

I passed :)

does anyone know if they send confirmation that you have passed? It says 100% completed on my dashboard and it says I passed the quiz but should I get an email too or will it be fine?

I didn’t get an email to say I had passed the quiz, the next email I got was the details for setting it up and a start date. Think it was a couple of days after passing the quiz from memory.

Is anybody still waiting for their payment to show up for the week up to 10th May? I received the email on Wednesday to say what I would get Friday, but nothing showing.

No. Have been doing this about 3 months. The week I'm talking about is missing from my receivables.
No probs, never had any issues with payments probably just a glitch am sure they will sort it out for you this week

I have had payments approved for some dates in June so I think they have done this in error so perhaps they've had a bad week or something. Raise a ticket but like me you'll likely go round and round in circles with them.

I had this issue late last night. Didn't think it was going to work at all but like you the 5th and final time was the winner.

Switching you’re phone off as well seems to work. If I don’t delete the messenger app and reboot the phone I normal get this issue so it’s just routine for me now lol...
