I've tweeted the good folks at Prolific. They're normally quite good at getting back to me so we shall see what they say!

Hey. So I'm just starting out and signed up to prolific, I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong but i can't seem progress on the site. I've filled in alot of presreening questions but can't seem to move past this point. I've also verified my email address and phone number so can't see that been the issue. So I'm just wondering on average how many prescreening questions they are? If there's many then I know I'm heading in the right direction. But after filling many in I feel like im not progressing on to the next stage. So im not sure if theres something wrong on my end
Any advice would be gratefully appreciated
Thanks
Tammy x

There's hundreds of them. I've been a member for a year and still get pre screening questions so don't worry about it. Surveys are few and far between on prolific though these days I find.

I joined P.A. years ago and like @Andrew I still get the odd screening question, although they are few and far between now. If you haven't already, it is useful to set up a page monitor on the Prolific site, to give you a notification when there are studies available. They don't usually send an e-mail and they fill up really quickly, sometimes within minutes. Because the studies are run by students, there can be times when there aren't many, but towards the end of term, there can be quite a few.

I have done a fair amount of studies this week (made just over £7), then the last 24 hours nothing, it's all slowed down a bit. I figure it goes in phases so have that and clickworker on refresh and when I have wifi have curious cat and vypr going.

Had a 9 month break and returned to absolutely loads of prescreening questions. Still not had any surveys though in the last 13 days and that's with an alert and checking myself. Had £800+ from them in the past though so still regularly checking.

Like everyone else has said, it's just going to be a case of waiting for the surveys to come through. Prolific seem to go through patches of having lots, and then none at all! I just check back a few times a day :)

Its coming towards the end of academic year. Students will be finishing up writing dissertations and studying for exams. Easter break can be 4 weeks at some universities too. I had 3 weeks, my sister had 4.
Academic staff often do research over the summer when they are not teaching, so may pick up then.

Just a heads up if you have a lot of time on your hands there is a task paying out £42 on Prolific. If I had the time to watch 3 hours of a video and had internet access for the next 5 days I would have snapped it up, but am going away to Yorkshire and won't have internet there (not even data on my phone most of the time).

Crikey what do you actually have to do to earn this £45?

So 8 hours work for £42? I work that out at £5.25 an hour and for such a mammoth task (likely tedious) i'd have to pass.

I've signed up for that too the other day. Done about 2 surveys so far. I think the pre screen questions just help filter the surveys better so you can get more. I've had to lie on some because I felt like they was only after married person with children!

I'd be careful with that on prolific. Better to be honest with them.

Oh really?! Its quite difficult though without feeling discriminated guess I'm too average for them. I've noticed it cuts off when I say I work full time but I don't manage people

In two weeks I have made £8 on prolific, not too bad, for very minimal effort.

Is it sure you're prolific that you're using? There's no screenouts on prolific.
