Is there a specific reason you're so tired? xYet another moany post about how tired I am.
I do two night shifts a week and it just mixes my body clock up something rotten. There just isn't really any other work around here and I can't afford to give it up. I'm pushing 60 and insulin dependent so I've not got much chance of getting the jobs that do come up. I also child mind for my daughter 2 days a week, so she can work, after my Wed nightshift which I don't want to stop but it's burning me out. It's the job I want rid off and I'm doing quite well with the MB and mystery shopping but not enough to rely on. I'm trying to find my way back into the world of work after years of caring for my parents who both had alzheimers, Mum is still alive but in residential care. It's really hard and I'm still emotionally exhausted from dealing with the horror that is dementia 24/7. I just need a nice wee job to pay the bills and some side hustles for treats. Not too much to ask?Is there a specific reason you're so tired? x
Sounds really hard going on you!I do two night shifts a week and it just mixes my body clock up something rotten. There just isn't really any other work around here and I can't afford to give it up. There are usually some great Matched Betting offers around for Wimbledon with the only downside being the unbelievably rapid odds movement you have to deal with lolWell, I didn't book myself into anything today. Decided that I wouldn't do anything and I wouldn't worry about it. As a result I discovered tennis! Watching it and betting on it I mean. Not playing it! Gearing myself up for Wimbledon makes sense.
Don't sweat about the Matched Betting loss. Even 4+ years down the line I still make mistakes LOLI'm feeling quite well organized with my matched betting despite last weeks loss. I haven't made much money as my horses kept winning when I wanted them to lose and losing when I wanted them to win. Same with the tennis! thought I was onto a dead set loser and he only went and won at big odds so no point in doing that offer again until next week.
I haven't done much mystery shopping either though I did get my moustache threaded which is the strangest, and most painful, shop so far. So it's not a good week moneywise but being a bit less busy has done me good.
It's 03.15 lunchtime at work. Chicken samosas and a banana. It's been a quiet night so far. None of the callers have been overly aggressive or upset.
Oh they do and cause of the travel I bring home under minimum wage. I used to hate the atmosphere at work but now I can see that the job just really 'gets' to everyone except the psychos. I ended up up £109 up and £35 in free bets today whilst juggling a 1-year-old. So tonight's shift doesn't feel too bad. My best day mystery shopping was £147 and that has just hit my bank account too so it's all good.Don't sweat about the Matched Betting loss. Even 4+ years down the line I still make mistakes LOL
Those crazy shifts must really mess with your body clock! Surprised you can still manage all the mystery shopping etc around it lol
You can do it just keep pushing, trying new revenue streams and working! This week has been less hectic than usual. In fact, it has felt quite well balanced. I've done less mystery shopping jobs, didn't have a class to teach, and only had one night shift. If only I could find something reliable to replace the night shifts. Actually, let's change that to when I find something reliable to replace the night shifts I think I'll manage fine..
