Who do you bank with? Have you done any of those £100 switches to Halifax or First Direct?

I just switched to FD this week.

Too many bank accounts are stressful for me - but I now have First Direct, Lloyds and Natwest. Plus Halifax that I have dribs and drabs of money go in from various things I signed up to so can't manage to close.

I have several accounts, santander, tsb, halifax and barcleys lol

I just have to take up an offer if I see it, the santander 123 account is great for cashback as well as a really good interest rate, halifax gives you £5 per month and TSB is 5% interest on balances up to £2000. Barcleys one is rubbish and I don't use it!

We are with RBS and have been for years, I have never had anything but praise for this bank.

We hated Santander and moved within months of them taking over A&L. When we heard the news they were taking over parts of RBS/Natwest we immediately requested to stay with RBS even if it meant we had no local branch; luckily that deal fell through.

Cashback (although very small at the moment) and we pay £16 a month for their Platinum service which covers my phone, the car breakdown and travel insurance.

I'm with Nationwide. I don't really want to move as have no problems to date with them.

I'm thinking of opening one of the new TSB current accounts as they pay 5% interest on up to 2k and you don't have to switch accounts or move your dd's/so's. I would just use it as a savings account as it pays more than an isa.

Nationwide online banking

Didn't know if anyone else is experiencing the same issue with online banking as I am. Trying to view my statement for the 'last 3 month' - only showing the last month. Even tried entering the figures in the 'from' date - 'to' date sections but still keeping me on the past month...strange...

I'm with Halifax and they have started to do cashback with places like Waitrose, Maplins, Pizza Express and others. You get the cashback the following month. I combine their cashback with TopCashBack or QuidCo to get my items even cheaper.

Im not sure if you still have the £16 platinum service but Nationwide do a cheaper £10 which includes all the benefits you listed and few others with the flexplus.

I shall run that past the husband and see what he thinks; whether staying loyal to one bank when it comes to looking at a mortgage is worth spending the extra £72 a year. Thanks

Switched from One Account to Santander 123. Some banks switch within the rules of the seven day charter. Ours took about a month. I find their app very useful as you can monitor the balance daily with detailed descriptions. No more end of the month head scratching for unknown amounts.

I bank with Santander and Nationwide now, but always used to bank with Barclays when I was employed by somebody else. The best thing about Barclays? When your payday is a Monday you can access the money on a Saturday without penalty. A God send at the end of the month when I was skint! I think some other banks let you do this but not all.

My current account is now with Metro Bank, after "defecting" from Santander, lol. I have a Cash ISA with Nationwide, and in my opinion they offer the most flexible options in regards to a savings account.

I have all my accounts (current and ISA) with Halifax and have nothing bad to say about them and they have a great joining up offer! Their app is also really easy to use which is handy for being out and about :)

M&S has the best on eat the moment as you get a gift card that they top up every month as you use the account. I think it works out to about £175 over 12 months! Worth checking out anyway :)

I'm pretty unusual I bank with Fidor because I love doing everything online and getting instant support via Skype.

I have a TSB account (£1500 at 3%), a Co-op for the £4 monthly reward and a FlexPlus account with Nationwide. Even though it's going up to £13/month in Sep it pays almost £6 in interest each month if you keep £2500 in credit.
