Yes sites can and have disappeared and I have lost money before by not requesting immediately on redemption. I will never leave earnings in any site now no matter how long it has been around and how reliably it pays things can easily go wrong. It is a risk I am not willing to take.

Would WordPress not be a one size fits all approach?

Well I want to forget the post thing really. Just have pages with the relevant info on.
Just trying to see how that could be done with Wordpress as far as having a front page then pages off that.
Unless there is a way to run Wordpress as site rather than a Blog?

wordpress can be whatever you want it to be
if you wanted it as a static site instead of a blog you would just create 'pages' inside it instead of 'posts'
alditoharrods said:Definitely do the pages. You can arrange the posts how you want, and have a home page/static page that then has thumbnails to your pages.
Kinda like http://www.bonjourblogger.com/ - but instead of showing your latest posts, it could be thumbnails and text extracts of your pages.
